A Hidden Gem: Affordable and Delicious Pizza in Como Nestled between two charming piazzas in Como, Pizzeria Fontana offers a delightful dining experience with a family-run atmosphere. We decided to indulge in our tru Italian pizza experience, and we were not disappointed. I opted for the Siliciana, a flavorful combination of black olives, anchovies, and capers. While for my wife it was admittedly a bit salty, for me it was expected given my chosen toppings. The pizza itself was baked to perfection, with a crispy crust and a generous topping of ingredients. My son was enjoying his Fontana, pizza od the house. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. One of the most appealing aspects of Pizzeria Fontana is its affordability. Most pizzas were priced between €9-€12, a significant bargain compared to other nearby restaurants where dishes often range from €14-€20. The couvert charge of €2 (This I hate, but it's common practice here, and it's still cheaper than 5-6€ in a nearby restaurants). This made Fontana easily the most budget-friendly dining option we encountered in Como.

A delightful eatery inbetween two of Como's piazzas; I got family-run vibes from here. We had our only pizza of our trip here and it was delicious. I had the Siliciana with black olives, anchovies and capers; it was quite salty but I reckon this is down to the toppings I willingly chose. The pizza itself was excellently cooked, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Now the best thing is the price, our pizzas were only between €9-€10 euros, which compared to most dishes at other nearby restaurants being €14-€20 is very affordable. A Peroni is only €3.50 which is very cheap compared to England where it would be at least £5. And the coperto is only €2. This made this restaurant easily the cheapest lunch or dinner we had.

Great little pizza shop in Como just a few steps away from the boat dock. We found this place on Google with fair reviews but feel it should be much higher. Great service, very attentive staff - they were very helpful with an expansive menu. We got our pizzas that were super fresh, and large portions. You could easily share it with two people. We ordered three different pizzas and a pasta, as well as some chicken. They kept the water coming for us, and we appreciate it. It was about 90 euro total…a great deal in a normally expensive town. Reminds me of a hole in the wall joint in NYC or other big city’s
