Due to random trip delays, we had to cut our trip in Como short and decided to grab lunch at a nearby town. We picked this place as it was close to the lake and had okay reviews on Google. I was pleasantly surprised that to have a delightful dining experience here.

The place is a charming spot worth visiting. The service at Stilo Ristorante Pizzeria is attentive and friendly. The staff members are attentive to your needs, and their passion is evident in the way they describe the dishes and offer recommendations. You can expect prompt service; however, it did feel a bit rushed as we were finishing our desserts.

We were expecting tourist-trap level of food given the location but their dishes had a lot of flavor in it.

The trout and zucchini pizza was cooked to perfection, with a thin, crispy crust and a delightful blend of fresh toppings. The squid pasta was plated beautifully and was bursting with the amazing freshness of the sea. There was minimal spices used in cooking the seabass but this allowed you to taste how clean and how fresh the fish was. The calamari was very light and I loved the way they deep fried the shrimp heads to add on that extra crunchy goodness.

On the day that we dined there, Italy was having a heatwave of up to 35°C. We had some rounds of campari spritz to cool down and it was sufficiently refreshing. The desserts were acceptable. We preferred the panna cotta over the creme brulee; then again, we were quite full by this time, lol.

The restaurant has a higher price range compared to nearby eateries but I'd say it's all well worth it. Surprisingly not...

Today we went to this restaurant to have a small meal, so for 4 people we ordered 2 pizzas without any drinks. The gentleman from the service who greeted us was very nice, however, as soon as he heard the order that we only wanted 2 pizzas, he brought only plates and cutlery and did not serve our table any more, and another person took over the table. We received our order and we have to admit that the pizzas were very good. Once we ate, we asked for the bill and waited 25 minutes for someone to bring us the bill. We reminded the staff that we still had not received the bill. Finally, we received the receipt in our hand and the staff walked away from us. We waited another 10 min with the money laid on the table and when no one approached us, we left the money on the table and got up from the table. When we were about to leave, we were accosted that we hadn't paid, which caused us embarrassment, but the staff lifted the napkin under which the money was (we didn't leave the money open on the table because today was a windy day in Como and it could have blown the money away). Unfortunately, despite the really tasty pizzas, a distaste remained from the whole visit to this...

Do not recommend. Fully touristic (no Italian-speaking customers were eating there). Food is not good, not fresh. Mushroom pizza had mushrooms soaked in oil. [Struggled to eat a bit out of it, but couldn’t finish it due to the excessive amount of oil. Also, didn’t take it away since it was not good]. We waited a lot for the order and saw people who arrived later at the restaurant being served, also pizza, before us. We only stopped because we didn’t have the patience to look for a better place,...

[Update since my review]: the restaurant owner replied to it and made up the fact that I finished the pizza, which is not true; the owner tries to undermine the credibility of the review and shift the focus away from the issue. I definitely advise you to read through the one-star reviews and the owner’s replies to see how the unpleasant experiences are handled! In most of them the owner doesn’t acknowledge any potential issue with the food or experiences and shifts the focus away from the issues with dismissive tone and personal attacks!!! (Once called the customers “veryyyyy drunk”). The attitude shows that there will be no future improvements.

Although the menu had many great options, we tried four pizzas and exchanged slices with each other. The pizzas weren't amazing, but they were good enough. I appreciated that they were not greasy like some we've had in other places. They were quite salty, but overall, we enjoyed them. The location is wonderful, whether you come during the daytime or for dinner. You can see the lake, and the atmosphere is really great. The service was okay - not particularly special, but not unfriendly either. The place was busy but in a good way. It's a good option for a date or a family outing. I recommend it, and the prices were very good. I almost forgot to take any pictures because we were extremely hungry. We enjoyed our meal.
