Came here yesterday in a party of 6. When we booked the table, we were told that we'd have to finish by 9:30 pm because on Saturdays they do two sitting, ok took not.

Came around 8ish, ordered 1-2 dishes per person. After a wait that was anything but short, the food arrived; I must say that it was quite valid and we all enjoyed it. Once finished with the courses,our waitress asked us if we wanted dessert. We did, so she took out order. Literally one minute later - and no kidding, it was one exact, Swiss minute - another waiter came over and said we have to leave since the other people for 9:30 were waiting. The clock said 9:31 pm. We said ok, though we hardly understood why we were asked about having dessert... as we're getting up, the waitress brings first dessert. Weird. I say we were kindly asked to leave by the previous waiter. The waitress says no, no, the dessert is ready. Then proceeds in bring out our the other two desserts ordered. Even more weird.

If it were up to me, I'd get up, pay for my food, and leave. But the other people in my party were, indeed, still hungry and therefore we stayed for to have the dessert. And the best part - as we are finishing it, the waiter comes over again and repeats that we have to leave. Then the waitress comes over again and says that she told us when she took our dessert order that we'd have 5 minutes to eat it. Strangely none of the six people at our table heard that part. I will not go into further details but further discussions were held between ourselves and these two contradicting waiters.

Overall, I'm not one big on service, etc. but I'd never in my 10 years living in Florence had such straightforward disrespectfulness and arrogance in a restaurant.

This is my favorite restaurant in the world. I have eaten at 3 Michelin starred restaurants in the USA and Europe, great street food and everything in-between and nowhere have I found such a great mixture of true hospitality and food quality. Owner/chef Damiano has built something special that is authentically Italian and, if you are open to it, will make you feel at home. Personable service and uncompromising ingredient standards combine with technique to provide you with consistently satisfying meals. I have eaten here probably 50 times over 14 years and have never had a disappointing dish, let alone meal. I recommend coming during at least two times to find some favorite dishes and get to know the staff a little bit.

Highlights- Antipasti: Tuscan pate, eggplant parmigiana, braised beef croquettes, fried zucchini flowers, truffle omelette

Pasta: fusilli with sausage and truffle, potato filled pasta with wild boar, ricotta ravioli with sage, anything with seafood, cacio e Pepe filled pasta

Secondi & sides: great Bistecca but I usually get the smaller filet, rabbit, fried potatoes, spinach

Dolci : They are all good but do one thing- order...

In Florence, or other famous cities, I don't trust places way out in the open, with tourists reading the menu and saying "okay." I seek out local gems that are uniquely interesting, not just in their offerings of food, but in their heart and personality and the overall vibe. This was an outstanding dinner, one of the highlights of the week. To start, my wife had an incredible, simple salad of artichoke, lemon and parmesan that I picked at. She followed that up with orecchiette with slightly spicy turnip tops, and I had an incredibly delicious sirloin steak paired with Marco's recommended Montepulciano. Most importantly, after a mere couple of minutes, Marco and Damiano and Irena treated us like friends, even family. I will never forget these beautiful people and the special, love-filled food they made for us. All of it more than fairly-priced, too! Cannot recommend this...

Very nice dinner! We were looking for hearty and down-to-earth but still not that heavy local dishes and we got it at the club culinario. As starters we ordered roasted bell peppers, an artichokes salad and traditional tomato soup. As main course (sorry, we couldn't take that much with Secondo platti) we had ravioli, pasta with porcini and tagliatelle with sugo. Every dishes was delicious and portion not too large. For the price was ok as each starter were around 8EUR and main dishes 12EUR. We paired that with a local farm red wine. With dessert and water we paid 105 EUR. The services was also very attentive, nice and not pushy as you may have read in others (you've eaten, now go, guest are waiting). All in all we had a very nice evening, definitely a place to recommend.

Very nice dinner! We were looking for hearty and down-to-earth but still not that heavy local dishes and we got it at the club culinario.
