Peruzzi Residences. ||If you can, stay here. It’s wonderful. ||What’s to like? So much. ||It has all the typical draws. The location is simply superb. It is within a 5-10 minute walk of almost all the major attractions (5 minutes to the Uffizi, 8 to the Duomo, 7 to get across the Arno, 7-8 to the Ponte Vecchio). The rooms are (very) large, super comfortable, quiet, clean and with good AC. Breakfast is very good and delivered in the atmospheric kitchen/breakfast and living area. Beds are comfortable. Storage superb. They provide new bottled water (still and sparkling) each day. There are fruit baskets out throughout the day. It's just a very nice place to stay. ||But then there are the things that make it special. The hotel itself is within an 11th century (yes, that’s right, 11th century) tower, owned originally by the Peruzzi family. The rooms have wonderful high ceilings, and the décor is gorgeous. It really does look like the photos. If you want to feel like a pampered Florentine, then definitely stay here. ||Also, Roberta, who is the main caretaker and concierge, is simply wonderful. Do talk to her about things to see and do – even if you think you’ve got it all sussed. She asked us what kinds of things we liked, and then whipped out a map and described neighbourhoods, the relative vibe of each neighbourhood, why places were special, and pointed out other smaller special places as well. On subsequent days, remembering what we liked, she would have additional gems for us to check out. She helped each evening with restaurant reservations, and her recommendations were never off (we are vegetarian). Do the wine tasting one night. Roberta hosts it with glee. It does take maybe an hour, but you get to try some of the wine produced by the owners of the residence and hear more about the history of the building. Roberta used to be a librarian for a local arts college, so she is an absolute treasure trove of information – if you want it. She’s never intrusive. ||In short, a great place to stay – highly recommend it! Thank you Roberta and Peruzzi...
Read moreWe had a 4 night stay at the Peruzzi Urban Residences and really enjoyed the experience. The check in was excellent with detailed information sent in advance and Roberta (the Concierge) provided a brilliant welcome. She showed us round the accommodation explaining how things worked (breakfast, wine tasting each evening etc) along with a guide to the best places to visit and eat during our short, 3 day stay.||The Residence was very clean, our room (the Vittoria) was excellent with a very comfortable bed although the shower was over the bath which was difficult to get into if you are short! That said, we would stay there again without doubt.||Breakfast was provided which was a super spread of cold meats and cheese, cereals, bread for toasting, yogurts, croissants (many different versions) and other pastries.||A central position for all the sights, none of which were more than a 15 minute walk away. Because of the location there is noise at night from the street two floors down and the echoing nature of the streets in the area, but for a city centre location and the rest of the excellent experience, I feel thats a price worth paying.||A brilliant place to stay and we will again next time we head...
Read more|I have had an absolutely fantastic time in Peruzzi Urban Residences, a lifetime experience I would say. It was like living Florentian fairy tale. Luxurious look and feel, confort and very high level service, attention to the detail. Breakfast was so good and variable, that I did not get tired in 5 days. Local quality meat and cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, Nespresso coffee, natural honey, fruits, integral bread. Very confortable bed, Netflix for falling asleep, local toiletries, privacy and peace. The location is unbeatable, close to the city highlights, but nicely hidden from noise and crowds. No, if you want to avoid any and all noise, go to Norway, not Italy 😅 Maids very professional and friendly. However, true diamond on the experience crown was a consierge Roberta - without her the place would have not been the same. Cult, classy, attentive and warm person, great advise on where to eat and what to see, but especially great wine bar experience upon arrival. The house wines are spectacular and were a superb addition to the overall experience. I really enjoyed my stay at Peruzzi Urban Residences, the concept, the services, all of it - it was the best...
