Cornelius Trattoria Pizzeria — Restaurant in Florence

Tourist trap!!!! Just had dinner here and ordered a pizza, caprese salad and two glasses of red wine…. 50 euros ? Wine by the glass not on the menu, only one red and one white glass, price not shown. 6 euro each and tasted horrible. The salad was 15 alone, unseasoned with no oil and tiny. They forgot to bring out our wine.. and forgot about our pizza. We were served our salad and then once finished asked if we wanted the bill, we had to remind them we had a pizza coming. Once we received the bill we were shocked at the cost. We were also charged 6 euros for coperto - to which I had to ask 3 times what that was as he was shocked we weren’t leaving a tip and wasn’t shy to ask why, thinking it was ok to ask us where we were from and that it was rude. Happy to say after you’re going to charge us 6 euro to use your serviettes , salt and pepper, forgot our pizza and wine and the food was below average, no we are not going to tip you. Worst restaurant I've been to in Florence (and been to about 15). Avoid!

It took them 30 mins to get our order, it was a hot day and we were begging for some drinks. Then it took them about 45 mins for a steak and 3 deserts. The steak my friend had was pretty low quality and difficult to eat. He ordered it rare, but it was hard, overcooked, and difficult to cut and chew. The desert was ok but nothing special.

I asked if we "could please have another bottle of water" and the server sort of repeated my question in an annoyed voice and then said 'of course'. He brought the bottle to the table and slammed it on the table. I've never seen such a service, very odd.

Then we asked for the cheque, waited 30 mins, but the server did not come back. We stood up to wait for them to bring us the cheque, and then 3 waiters came at once to ensure we don't leave without paying, lol. We asked to pay by card, and they ignored us for...

As we entered, they seated us quickly but never gave us menus so we had to ask after about 7 minutes. The waiter dropped them in a pile on the table and said “here” then walked away. We ordered steak tartare to share between 3 but it was smaller than a tennis ball and it was just ground beef with no flavour. A caesar salad with no dressing and gnudi which I added a lot of salt too but it just tasted completely bland and greasy. Not to mention it was a struggle to even order the food in the first place.
