FUK - Cocktail bar, music & more — Restaurant in Florence

I was just passing by this place, where I had previously a nice experience, when I felt like I needed to use the bathroom and thought I could use the loo in the place I knew. I went inside ( around 8:40 PM) and there was noONE at the bar so as I needed to use the bathroom, I headed straight away and did what I needed to. When I was walking out of the bathroom a screaming person approached me and asked me for an explanation why I used their bathroom without asking them. I was trying to explain that when I was entering the bathroom there was NOONE at the bar and I could not wait but the guy was very aggressive and overall unpleasant. If in doubt I would ask the owner to see and verify the security cameras they have that there was NOONE at the bar when I entered the bar 20.30 (+/- 10 minutes max) so was not able to ask permission to use the toilet. Overall, even if my previous experience there was good, I would not go there anymore. Bad service is something I do not appreciate but luckily it can be improved. We did not eat at the bar, but man did we drink! In Firenze for my son's wedding, and we spent 4 or 5 of our nights while we were there at the Fuk bar. Lorenzo and Donnie were AWESOME! After out first night there (we closed the bar down Thursday night), he would always remember that us guys liked our Old Fashions with Elijah Craig. They both were friendly, personable, asked how the wedding festivities were going, just REAL good guys! We even asked if we could bring everyone back on Sunday night after the bachelor and bachelorette parties, and Omar told us they are normally closed on Sundays but would have come back and opened for us. THATS amazing service! My only regrets were not going back on our last night to have a few more drinks with those guys, getting them to have a drink with us, and buying a t-shirt from their place. I HIGHLY recommend if you are in Firenze and looking for a casual place to hang out and have good drinks, to head straight to the Fuk Bar! And if you do, tell Lorenzo, Donnie and Omar...

I was in Florence for summer classes, and discovered this place because I lived right above it. But I didn't give this bar the benefit of the doubt until halfway through my program. Prior to finding this place I went to several more bars around town, all of them not nearly as good as this place. The people operating this place are wonderful and very knowledgeable. All the drinks are specialties, and the classics are well done. It's actually hard to find a bar that does cocktails in Florence and have them done well.

Shoutout to Philipo, he can guide you to a drink that suites you, as he did for me. Hopefully they last many years to come, because the next time I go to Florence I will definitely go...
