Menchetti Firenze is perfectly located just over a block from the Galileo Museum. We felt compelled to turn to this covered outdoor space abundant with beautiful plants with tables for two and chairs in shades of green. What a beautiful and restful place to take a break from touring! Relaxing music and the buzz of Italian around us added to the vibe.

We had a friendly and efficient waiter named Reese. We both chose items on the daily lunch special. By the way, if you don’t speak, Italian, pull up Google Translate on your phone and take a photo of the menu. Some of the translations can be entertaining, and they will give you an idea of the offerings.

The lasagna al forno was lovely and light, with the right amount of carmelized cheese and noodle on the bottom that gave just the right amount of chewy. Those bites were pleasant surprises!

We visited on the 22nd of June 2024 in the evening, their toilet was defective and when asked where can we use the toilet, whilst being their customers, they laughed in our faces, we had to use the facilities in the restaurants nearby. I would have expected them to come up with some sort of arrangement with other venues if they encountered the issue with the toilets. They also did not warn any of their new customers of the issue with the toilets, I know everyone is in business to make money but they were just being horrible about this.
