We recently had the pleasure of trying a risotto that left a lasting impression on our taste buds. This dish was truly outstanding, and it is one of the best risottos I have ever tasted. As I took my first bite, I was immediately struck by the creaminess of the dish. The risotto had a luscious texture that was both smooth and velvety, and the rice grains were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of bite. The flavor profile of this risotto was equally impressive. The dish was rich and savory, with a deep umami taste that lingered on my tongue. The rice had absorbed all of the flavors of the broth, resulting in a deliciously complex and layered taste. As a desert, we had the pleasure of indulging in a truly decadent tiramisu that was nothing short of heavenly. This desert was a perfect balance of flavours and textures, and it left me wanting more. The texture of this tiramisu was simply divine. The mascarpone cheese was light and airy, with a velvety smoothness that melted in my mouth. The ladyfingers were soft and tender, providing a perfect contrast to the creamy filling. The addition of espresso gave the dessert a subtle hint of bitterness that balanced out the sweetness of the dish.

It’s an elegant place where you might occasionally spot Milan’s aristocracy and old high society, but rarely a loud, flashy tourist. There’s truly nothing else like it. The atmosphere is understated yet inviting: bright lighting, no background music, classic Italian furnishings, and simple fresh roses. It subtly reminds you to set aside any pretenses and focus on what matters most here—the food. There were two of us on a Monday evening, and the restaurant was nearly fully booked. We started with the Veal pâté, followed by Ossobuco and risotto alla milanese - the best we’ve had in three years in Milan. The Spaghetti alle vongole, revisited with asparagus, was a delightful spring accent. And then, the desserts. Normally, I’d choose another glass of wine over sweets, but that night, I gave in: Tarte Tatin with gelato alla crema, Affogato di zabaione with marron glacé gelato, and Gelato alla crema with wild berries. Of course, the wine selection is more than enough to satisfy any taste, with over 240 labels from top wineries across Italy. The service? Impeccable—nothing more to add, except the charisma of the owner, Marco.

We ordered baby octopus in tomato sauce, curry shrimp, pistachio tuna as savory and each one of them was cooked to perfection. And as an autistic person, that says a lot. The favors, textures, temperature, cook time were all 100% perfect. Lastly, we order apple tart and tiramisu with a twist, requested to add candles for the birthday. The tiramisu was amazing, but the apple tart was nothing short of divine. I have to again go back to the staff, because when i handed them the candles they just replied "understood" and later came in with 1 holding the desserts and the other walking in front to hide it and surprise her. It was genuinely so warm and welcoming. If we come to Milan again, we are 100% coming here again. THANK YOU!

Where do i even start? One of the Best dining experiences we've had. First, the staff. The level of professionalism, hospitality, hosting and service was impeccable. Second, the food. We ordered baby octopus in tomato sauce, curry shrimp, pistachio tuna as savory and each one of them was cooked to perfection. And as an autistic person, that says a lot. I’m a fan of this historic Milanese establishment. For me, this is Milano.

Milanese DNA - not for those chasing traditional Mediterranean cuisine, but its Milanese variation. Perfect for business lunches to impress and family meals if you’re discreet and authentically Milanese. Not ideal for an everyday balanced diet.

I come back - and bring friends and family - at least once a year.

Here, you’ll find the authentic Milano bene, far removed from the arrogance of flashy, glamourous nights filled with oversized lips, designer handbags, and dazed stares.

The service is excellent by Western standards and certainly better than most of the city, which has sadly embraced superficiality where customers have grown used to subpar treatment.

Here, you feel at home, despite the spacious layout accommodating plenty of tables. Finally, a place where tables are spaced apart - you don’t overhear others’ conversations or feel observed. Most importantly, no one steals the salt or oil from your table, unlike many cramped Milanese spots where tables are practically stacked on top of each other.

What has declined, unfortunately, is the RISOTTO. It’s not what it used to be, and I’m disappointed.

True, you don’t find the traditional risotto anywhere in Milan anymore. And sadly, not here either. I hope this inspires the owners to reclaim tradition.

Yes, cuisine evolves, and the rest of the menu is good (not exceptional). But risotto is risotto, and I want it as it once was.

I’ll be back, hoping for the risotto. Please don’t...

Unfortunately this place is has been under a CRIMINAL act. I am the VICTIM of a CRIMINAL ROBBERY in Milano! The people that did this dishonourable filthy crime were in this restaurant the 22nd of April 2024 at 14:30 in the entrance of your restaurant:

-First man: Light pink pastel double breasted open suit, dark pants and Alexander MqQueen white sneaker. Light skin, short beard and very small and thin body.

-Second man: Dark grey suit with vertical white stripes, and dark pants, very fat and short as well. He had black cheap used loafers. Under his suit he had something brown I believe. He had a big nouse. His short slighty curled beard was not well groomed and looked Romanian.

They were waiting for me to enter in your private business room for lunch but the responsible said that it is full and the kitchen is closed !? Clearly there were people inside! I called before that I will be late and they said no problem.

Your restaurant and indirectly your staff is indirectly/directly involved in this since there is proof of my reservation under my name. Furthermore there are video cameras as well!

The Police Department of Milan is starting the investigation and these disgraceful scamers will be found and all the people that were involved in this criminal act! Thank you very much! „Ave imperator, morituri te...
