Amazing food, simple and delicious and not expensive: I paid 26ā‚¬ for a bottle of water, a fried zucchini flower, veal with tomato sauce and potatoes, and a tiramisu (that is the best one I've ever had). Service isn't great or the most friendly but it's ok. They speak some English and have an English menu if needed. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something local. Best to make reservations; even on a Wednesday evening the place was full.

I never leave Rome without enjoying a full course meal at the Antico Falcone! All the dishes are hearty, the wine is very good as well and the service is terrific. I canā€™t mention a specific dish because everything is very tasty but if i must, iā€™d say the carciofo alla giudia, Carbonara, picchiapo and tiramisu for sure. Cherry on the cake, the little biscuit with the coffee

I never leave Rome without enjoying a full course meal at the Antico Falcone! All the dishes are hearty, the wine is very good as well and the service is terrific. I canā€™t mention a specific dish because everything is very tasty but if i must, iā€™d say the carciofo alla giudia, Carbonara, picchiapo and tiramisu for sure. Cherry on the cake, the little biscuit with the coffee

Old style traditional Italian eatery filled (literally not an empty seat on a Sunday night) with locals and regulars - We were the ONLY non-Italians in the place which says a lot given the choices in the area. The food and service were outstanding and this to me was the closest to "do as the romans do" on our trip. Antico is booked solid almost every day so you'd better plan ahead but it is worth the trip. A little history of the family on the menu tells you everything you need to know - Owned by the Strozzi family since 1400, and the building declared a national monument in 1935.

Among other things, we tried the Carbonara (the sauce was rich and velvety), the saltimbocca (done to perfection), fried zucchini flowers (delicious) and the roasted lamb!.

I went to this restaurant with my family to eat, and we felt discriminated against by the staff. It seemed to be the manager or owner who greeted me at the front entrance. I informed him that we had four people and wanted to dine, but he immediately claimed they were full, even though I noticed that around 70% of the tables were empty. Curious, I checked the restaurant's website for seat reservations, but they didn't even have a reserved section. Moreover, the empty seats were not positioned together, indicating that they were not reserved for a group. The time we went there was 8:20 PM. Very good food. I had the suppli and palline al verde. They gave me a table even though I did not have any reservations. Aisha who attended my table is very helpful, attentive and friendly. And she speaks English. šŸ˜Š Ask her for recommendations. The manager is very pleasant and friendly as well. Sadly was not able to try the Artichoke as it is out of season already.
