I needed a place to stop for a coffee, a seat, and 10 minutes to make alternate travel arrangements on my phone. I read the reviews and thought this was the perfect spot. False. The hostess was remarkably unfriendly. I asked for a table for one. She looked at me like I was an idiot. I pointed to myself, a table, and put up one finger and still that was not enough for her to decipher what I wanted. Yet, she was able to tell me in English that I can order at the counter and stand or sit for 5 minutes only. Mind you half the place was empty. I'm not going to beg a coffee bar in Rome to come let me sit for a few minutes while I use my phone. I didn't come with luggage and a laptop to make her think I was setting up my office for the day. The staff was very polite and serious - they asked us for our green passes so we could eat in their dining room. They scanned our passes and there were no problems. I really appreciate that the bar was following the rules. The food was simple, healthy and tasty. I especially liked it because the bar typically serves local people who work in the area, so you know the food has to be good. Water was on the house - which is not typical for Italian restaurants and bars. There was also air conditioning! Prices:...
