There are reviews here that show food, so we were expecting being able to eat a meal, but the little cheese,salami and twisted crackers were served, so that tided us over.
The store is rustic, a little dusty, and the patio is too. However, you didn’t come here for a luxurious patio, or white gloves, you came here because you want to be enchanted with unpretentious love of wine.
That, you WILL find. Each glass, Chianti, Sangiovese, primotivo and barbera d’asti was tasty, fruity, some marvellously oaky, some like ripe fruit and rich.
I am fairly certain he overcharged for the bottle for home, but, we’re tourists, and I am not bothered- it was good.
When you go to restaurants here, and order a glass of wine, some will serve you a plonk that makes lcbo bottom shelf boxed wine seem fancy, this is not that.

Charcuterie is served immediately and the owner is super friendly. We asked if they served food, and much to our surprise he brought out the menu for the ristorante across the street. Amazing wine, friendly staff, and did I mention delicious wine? Wish they also had food too, practically had to peel ourselves away to get dinner.
Update: came back a few months later and the vibes were great! Owner is so friendly and sweet. Great wine at great prices. I love their Lambrusco - not on the menu but he was able to open a bottle for me both times - delicious. He also poured orange wine off the menu as well. Almost all glasses are 6 euro each.
