This wasn't my first choice for dinner after some recommendations fell through. That's a bummer because this fabulous restaurant should have been on that list. It's not fancy but it's fabulous and it's inexpensive. Warmly welcomed and immediately brought to a table despite my lack of reservation (it's January, definitely not tourist season) where a waiter took my drink order. When he returned with my "grande Peroni" that was a full liter of beer, I ordered dinner. Bruschetta to start was a nice portion of flavorful tomatoes on charred crunchy bread. Yummy but not enough to share. Main course, I opted for the fettucine cacio e pepe. A nice big portion and it was perfect. The pasta was al denta and the sauce was exactly what it's supposed to be - cheese and peppery. So delicious. I wasn't going to get dessert but the neighboring table had a tiramisu and suddenly I had no choice. It was AWESOME. All of that - the large beer was €11! - including the appetizer, main course and dessert was only €26. Yummy full dinner in the touristy district for that low price? Amazing. You need to check them out!

I had a lovely lunch here on a day out in Rome with some friends. It was my first time, and I was impressed by the quality, quantity, and value for money! For my first dish, I went for the bucatini all'Amatriciana. The pasta was cooked to perfection, nice and al dente just how I like it! The tomato sauce was full of flavour thanks to the guanciale being perfectly cripsed and salty to add to the tastyness! It was a very good portion size too, and at €9 it made it a very good price indeed! For my main, I decided to try the turkey milanese with chips...again decent portion size and cheaper than the pasta at €8.50. The meat was tender on the inside and golden and a with a bit of crunch on the outside, exactly like a milanese should be. The chips were crispy and not too oily...very good main course! So, if you're in the area and fancy some decent Italian pub food, then look no further than this place! Easy 5 stars.

What a ride, good luck with what you order. This was not pleasant and even more a major scam. First, pasta with Parmesan and pepper- I wasn’t even the one eating it and i was disappointed. 8€ So, you order mixed bruschetta expecting what (seriously picture this in your head): Fresh tomatoes on freshly toasted bread? Yum, right? What do you get: Mexican style salsa I’d get out of a grocery store jar on seemingly stale bread. And then 3 other pieces of crunchy thick bread with olive tapenade (least worst part.) 4€ The mixed antipasto. I don’t even know what any of that was besides the meat, even then it’s covered in the oil of the sour mystery items with a flavor so strong, you can’t look past. I couldn’t even chew the meat enough to swallow it without gagging- just gross. 12€ Now, waiter tried to argue: “I would’ve explained had you asked!” But are these things not common sense?? I didn’t realize I’d be getting stale-ish bread with a thin layer of things coming out of a jar. Nor 8 slices of store-packaged meat doused in anchovy + jarred artichoke + whatever the hell/mushroom items. Only issue to me is that people would eat this without complaining- this is a restaurant and I’ve made better things from google. Is this what Italian people eat??? Really?? You’re going to tell me you are happy to sit and eat the meal I had been given? Pathetic. Am I irrational for not wanting to pay for the things I didn’t eat? I gave them a try at-least and was very….. dissatisfied. My poor waiter (busy day, it hurts me to complain as I’ve worked in food service) visited us twice: to ask for items, and the final take away- in which I expressed my sadness. Paying at the front I expressed this… again, to be met with “you should’ve told us when you decided.” Girl, I decided I didn’t want to eat at the establishment anymore. Anyways- still made me pay for everything: 16€ for some seemingly store bought items. Me writing this won’t get back my € for food I didn’t eat, nor will it probably fix the menu items. But it makes me feel a little better. Go somewhere else, save the trouble of risking a disappointment. I’m so displeased- and still hungry.

I recently visited a trattoria in the heart of Rome and found it to be a pleasant experience overall. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the service was impressively quick, making it a convenient stop for a meal. While the atmosphere was lively and inviting, the quality of the dishes varied. The baccalà was a standout—delicious and well-prepared. However, the pork chop was a bit of a letdown, as it was undercooked near the bone, which detracted from the enjoyment of the dish. On a positive note, the bucatini were quite good and well-executed. This restaurant is bustling and a great option if you are looking for a quick bite before heading out to explore the enchanting sights of Rome at night. I would recommend sticking to the pasta dishes, as they seem to be a safe bet here. Overall, it’s a solid choice, but with a little attention to cooking consistency, it could elevate the dining experience even further.

We stumbled upon this place accidentally just passing by. The menu is rather big on it's own, and still you can ask them to do something specially for you. I asked for the eggplant parmigiana that I couldn't see on the menu, and it was not a problem. Food came out quickly, it was very tasty, straightforward without any pretence, just right. The servers were friendly and had a genuine smile (which is rare if you've been around Europe). The vibe of the place was nice, not super fancy or romantic, more like a brewery of old days (which it actually historically was), with the loud Italian buzz around. This was also the cheapest place we've been to in Rome, each dish is around €4-5 cheaper than any other place closer to the centre, so it can add up for a larger order. Just as an example, the tiramisu here was €4 whereas at Piazza Navona it was €9.

Recommended here by our tour guide Davida from city wonderers and we are so glad we went! A true authentic Italian restaurant where the locals eat! So reasonably priced for the quality. My only issue which I feel I have to mention is that our waiter was not too inviting as we were tourists who didn't speak Italian, he practically chucked my meal on the table and I had to catch it 😅. I am not marking down the place for this issue as we feel it was just him personally as everyone else was very welcoming and other waiters were friendly and joking with their tables, even those tables with tourists. But if you want a VERY good meal please don't let this put you off.
