Went here recently with a large group 20+. All the staff were exceptional and patient. The owner was an incredible host and spent time with us, breaking away from his own dinner and friends to make time for us. Which was very much appreciated! And they were busy with a local clientele that night. Incredible atmosphere, seated outside with an Italian movie playing from the 60s projected on the wall (no sound). The space they have is beautiful and well kept. The food!! Amazing! And clearly playing to the residents of the city, not purely for the tourist crowd. Side note - maybe the best espresso of my life was served with dessert and that is saying something in Italy! Go and have a full, authentic, high end experience. And order the good wine!! They have a great selection! I definitely talk about that evening for the rest of my life and will absolutely be back! Grazie mille!

If Venice is a dream, this little pasta restaurant is its best-kept secret. Tucked away on a quiet side street close to the theatre where the atmosphere is warm, intimate, and filled with comforting aromas. The menu celebrates authenticity with it's carefully crafted dishes. The highlight for me was the fresh pasta with truffles; delicate ribbons of pasta coated in earthy richness that melted on the tongue, perfectly cooked and flavoured. Unforgettable!! The staff embody Venetian hospitality at it's best, kind, attentive and passionate about their restaurant. Prices are fair, especially considering the quality. It is truly a must-visit for anyone who believes pasta is more than just food, but an experience. I look forward to my next visit. Grazie mille! 😊

It's always hard to find good restaurants in Venice, as most of them are essentially caters to tourists, and don't offer good traditional food. Al Colombo is one of those restaurants that you want to visit again. First of all, the spirit of this restaurant is Domenico, the owner—a great person, with a lovely sense of hospitality. The restaurant is located near Rialto Bridge, in a beautiful courtyard. You must try the local "crudo di mare", lovely selection of fresh fish. Another dish that you must absolutely try is the risotto di gò, a risotto made with the small fishes from the laguna. Definetely, a great address for your next visit in Venezia !

🤣😂🤣 laughter is the best medicine. If you want to experience what it’s like to be robbed while watching, this is the place to be. The setting is an hybrid between a sketchy gallery of failed art and a comedy performance about a wannabe chique restaurant gone terrible wrong. Very messy and weird interior also.

The owner seems to be some kind of popular character who parades around the restaurant as if he were the main attraction people come for. No one was sitting in the restaurant when we arrived. That should have been our key to leave.

But we stayed and got to eat caprese salad (literally 3 slices of mozzarella and 4 of tomato - no seasoning) for €20 and sip a €8 coke - I kid you not: €8 for 20 cl of coke. I asked them if they were seriously charging that much for a coke. We did check the menu outside when we left and it was €6. So yeah, it’s a robbery on top of a robbery.

It’s really a disgrace for the Italian cuisine and...

Stumbled upon this place and looks quite nice and high end, thought the food would be good but every dish we got, including the medium beef was just luke warm. Taste of the dishes was nothing special. Other than the taste of the truffles the food is not great. After questioning the bill as it came to more than I expected (due to unknown charges) the waiter was then very blunt and rude to me, but the bill was correct. 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 cokes (which are served warm) and a bottle of water come to €185 (with 15% service charge they don’t state anywhere).

If you’re thinking of eating here then don’t, the foods the same as you’d get in whetherspoons and there’s much better places in the same area.

We had lobster soup (Just OK), marinated seafood platter (nothing was marinated), lasagne (just warm and bland but the best thing that we ordered), beef and truffle dish which just seemed...

This was a ridiculously overpriced dinner. First of all they bring the bottles of Aqua Pana already unscrewed with no lid from the kitchen. The water tasted like regular sink water, despite being 8 Euros. The bread was not great. They brought us the 2nd basket we never asked for or ate and then charged us for 2. NO other restaurant in Italy has ever charged us for bread. The raw seafood appetizer was a joke. It had 2 shrimp, 1 oyster and a tiny amount of seabass and tuna (smaller then a poke scoop). The hot food was ok. The service was VERY SNAIL. SLOW. They also charge 15% service charge for a horrible service. Took us 20 minutes to get the check. We had no wine or dessert and spent €150 . They just take advantage of people and the place is not even nice, the gold bird on napkins and glasses does not make up for €8 sink water and stale bread. Many much better restaurants...
