Venchi Cioccolato e Gelato, Venezia Stazione Santa Lucia — Local services in Venice

I've seen the Venchi stores all over Italy, but I never entered because I prefer the small stores. But we were tired, and we didn't have a lot of time before our train left, and I really wanted a gelato, so Venchi it is. The staff were very friendly and professional, and spoke good English. Let me just say it right now - it is not a bad gelato. It is even a very good gelato. But, after almost 2 months in Florence, and around it, I can definitely say that you can find great gelato in a lot of places. I got the crema Venchi and chocolate flavors. They were both good. But the chocolate wasn't as deep and rich flavored as I had in many other small gelato places. The crema was very good. Not too sweet and the flavor was nice. If you are in a train station across Italy, or just can't get to another place, by all means this is a good place for gelato. But if you can walk 5 minutes, go get it at a small gelato shop. i’ve been to many different spots, and almost always service was bad. tired and unfriendly stuff. it seems that they just want to get rid of you as soon as possible.

ice cream and chocolate are extremely delicious. the quality and taste are very good. i consider you trying caramel flavour. avoid taking crema venchi. it has a fishy aftertaste (it was different days, but the same shop, might be the problem of only this spot)

the place is pricy, but it is worth it. unfortunately, portions are getting smaller and smaller. for a double portion, you get a bit more than a regular scoop.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The staff member was rude — unwilling to answer questions about the flavors and kept rushing us to pay before we even made our choice. This immediately left a negative impression. Another downside is that you can’t choose the type of cone. For up to three scoops, they automatically give a very thin wafer cone. While it technically holds its shape, it’s so fragile that the ice cream quickly melts and runs down the sides, making it messy and uncomfortable to eat. Also, the scoops themselves are quite small.
