Tourist trap, do not recommend. (The photos are from while we were eating because we didn't consider even posting a review) We ordered pizza, sandwich, pork ribs, bruschetta, polenta with mushrooms. Pizza was good and the sandwiches were fine, you could get them anywhere else for the same price and taste. Pork ribs were served cold, almost as if directly from the fridge "cold." Compared to the menu, there was one leaf of lettuce, compared to the cherry tomatoes and lushious lettuce serving. One would expect at least half a rack of ribs for 16€, however, it was two bones worth of ribs. I sent it back. The tendon was still attached. The bruschetta, one would think is bread with fresh tomatoes. However, ours were essentially a pizza - bread, tomato sauce, and cheese. We asked to send it back, but the server explained that this was the normal bruschetta and there was another one that had fresh tomatoes so we chose the wrong one. The polenta with mushroom was just bad; the mushrooms were not freshly cooked and smelt bad. Service was fine. The host brought us in but a server stopped us and then asked if there were seats on the walkie-talkie to someone behind, but when we entered, the restaurant was empty... When we sent the food back, server was kind and checked up on the food after.

Verona Gets a Midlife Crisis Right off the bridge, where the tour buses exhale their cargo, sits Cappa Café. It’s a strange cultural purgatory—part Buddha lounge, part Route 66 pit stop, pumping out boomer rock like it’s trying to drown out the fact that you’re in one of the most iconic restaurants in the city. The decor is confused, the crowd is sunhat Brits and multi-generational boomers, and the vibe is pure tourist autopilot. It feels like a place built to remind you of home, right before you leave. The food? Functional. My polenta with mushrooms was decent, and the lasagna was what you’d expect from a place that stocks the table with pre-packed Grana Padano sachets. Pay at the counter, because why not reinforce the fast-casual feel. One bright spot: the waiter with the rosary around her neck. She brought grace to a place that could’ve used more of it. But here’s the kicker—just half a block down is a Michelin knife-and-fork joint. Two euros more per plate and you actually remember you're in Italy. Skip the soundtrack. Skip the Buddha. Walk a bit further. Eat like you mean it.

Not recommended! They served me the most basic gin tonic I had in my life (no cucumber, no lemon, only gin on ice and the bottle of tonic was served on the side, I even had to mix it with the gin myself). Then, we've experienced a very very unpleasant customer service, rude hostess. Instead of "hello, welcome, what can I bring you", we got a server approach our table and say simply "yes?", no effort, no nothing, simply rude. They also pretend all the tables are reserved, while in reality, they are of course not. When you need an extra chair during the day for your bags and the entire terrace is empty, apart from two out of like 10 tables, it is a very big issue for them. We had to hold everything on our legs even though the table next to us stayed free the whole time we spent here. Avoid this place and choose literally anything else. In other bars and restaurants in Verona, we only had a great experience :)

The place looks nice and I'm sure it's fine for a drink but the food and service was very poor. Waited a good while for a table, fair enough as it was a little busy, sat and ordered drinks then...nothing. Eventually asked and was told the printer hadn't printed our order. Ok. Drinks arrived, glasses were dripping wet. This should have made us suspicious. Ordered the food. And waited. And waited. Noticed the couple next to us, who'd arrived a good 15 minutes after us got their pizzas, asked what was going on with our food, was told it was coming. When it arrived, the anaemic chicked breasts, adorned with 3 rosemary leaves were cold and as dry as the autumn leaves. The vegetables were boring, limp and unseasoned. The Baccala was rubbery, swimming in greasy god-knows-what. One side order never showed up. Complained, asked them to take the dishes away and asked for a pizza to share (by this point we were HUNGRY - surely they couldn't mess that up). Pizza was crispy on one side, soggy on the other. The mushrooms were from a can. As I settled the bill, the boss tried to explain the Baccala has a very strong flavour, I tried to explain that it had zero flavour. Very disappointed as we were hoping for a memorable lunch to accompany our memorable trip to Verona. Sadly it...
