We had a delicious lunch at Tosca Bistrot. Even though it was a busy afternoon, we luckily got a table right away from outside terrace, under a sunshade. The restaurant is just far enough off the main tourist routes that it doesn’t get overcrowded. For lunch, I had octopus in tomato sauce with polenta—it was absolutely delicious. My companion’s black ravioli filled with sea bass and served with zucchini cream was also excellent. To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a few glasses of good Soave DOC wine (garganega), and finished off with espressos for dessert. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were very reasonable considering the location and quality. This place is a fantastic spot for lunch!

We stopped here on a way to the supermarket next door without checking the reviews in advance as the restaurant’s outdoor seating is off the main crowded street. And oh man, we couldn’t have decided better! I haven’t met such a nice and funny yet professional waiter who tolerated and even appreciated my poor attempt to speak my (non-existing) Italian. Nice wine selection (also local wines - went for Valpolicella). And last but not least, both meals were just delicious (taglierini with truffle and cheese and different pasta which name I forgot with tomato sauce, buratta cheese and pistachios). I totally recommend, I will definitely visit again when in Verona

We really enjoyed our lunch here. Yes, Verona is a touristy town and the restaurants are not having to try as hard as off the beaten path spots. Keeping this in mind, Tosca Bistro was a real exception. The vibe al fresco was excellent. The wine and service was spectacular. We had a risotto made with amarone wine that was quite tasty. And, we split a dish of freshly-made fettuccine tartufo. Sitting outside in a little piazza in Verona is in itself a dream. Eating well at the same time is a charm. Great vegetarian selections, too.

We discovered Tosca when strolling around Verona and trying to find the river. What we didn't expect was to find one of the culinary gems of the city.

We ordered a very stereotypical Caesar salad and carbonara, but we were blown away with our meals.

Unlike many other places we had visited in Verona, you could taste the love emanating from the food. With carbonara so yellow that it would make the sun jealous, leaving us wondering what sort of diet the hens that produced them could be on. And a ceaser salad worth being stabbed in the back for. We returned two days later to relive the experience and would be stabbed even more to relive the experience again

Also our waiter was wonderful and the moustachioed fellow made our experience worth returning to the city for.

If you couldnt guess, I'd...

My daughter and I had a really good lunch here. I asked our waiter Gianluca what he would recommend and he recommended Risotto with the local sausage (tastasal) matched with the local red wine. It was delicious! My daughter had pizza which was flambé d. It was great fun and she really enjoyed it. On the same day, we returned for dinner as my daughter really fancy the risotto I had for lunch. She wasn’t disappointed. I had pasta with some kind of seafood sauce. We had a great dinner, serenaded by a guy singing Lionel Richi’s songs. Manuel also joined in and sang. Such a fun evening with wine and champagne. We will be back! Very warm and very...
