After more than 40 minutes of searching on internet for the perfect Izakaya for the evening we found Johkoya. With great local reviews and obviously only one bad review (from a tourist clearly not knowing that quality costs a bit more) we decided to try it out. So happy that we did!
Without doubt one of the most friendly/best Izakaya’s in town.
Great service, GREAT food and a great chef, in every way!
Not having a english menu wasn’t a problem for us, neither the price which was absolutely not overcharged!
Overall the visit was one of our absolut best Izakaya visits we did in whole of Japan.
