We stayed at the Dusit Thani Kyoto from May 9 until May 20. We had a lovely stay where we were able to explore Kyoto and also take several day trips to Kobe, Osaka, and Nagoya. I absolutely loved the furniture in the Kati restaurant. We had breakfast at Kati almost every day and the food was good and service was great, but the days it got very busy the servers had challenges keeping up with the demand. Some of the guests were also pretty difficult and annoying to be around (very large groups of noisy somewhat rude people) which is not the hotels fault. We had lunch and dinner at Katie quite a few times and it was delicious, particularly the Kyoto Burger special. We especially loved Phainarin, the server for lunch and dinner at Kati. Phainarin was particularly friendly, warm, kind, and attentive, she did a great job making sure we had a great meal every time, thank you Pha!!

Kati is in the Dusit Thani Kyoto Hotel 1B. I ate here for both breakfast and dinner. The ambience is 5/5 with great decor and lighting. There a a view of a perfectly kept garden out the window. The service was fantastic. Everyone was curious and provided very fast service. The breakfast buffet is ~¥6500 and you can also order a dish and drink. I had the benedict. It had a lot of flavour and I enjoyed it. I didn’t try any of the buffet food besides the omelette and rice. taste 5/5 and value 1/5 For dinner I had a japanese burger, thai spring rolls. Both tasted pretty standard for the dish. taste 3/5 and value 2/5. This is a posh hotel and part of the cost of the restaurants is the ambience and decor. If I didn’t have a hotel credit with my credit card, I’d probably eat elsewhere.

I've been to the This restaurant multiple times, and it is consistently delicious! This latest visit was no exception, even with my friend arriving a little late—we just couldn't miss out on this meal! The flavors are authentic and wonderful, just like every visit. In addition,The staff were incredibly cheerful and attentive. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible value for money. The portion sizes are so generous I was almost too full to finish my plate! For reliable, high-quality Thai cuisine with reasonable portions in Kyoto, this spot is a must-try. Highly recommended!

Our experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. While waiting in line to be seated, we were overtaken by a very large group of people. The host witnessed this and still seated them before us, which was unacceptable. Once at the table, three of our dishes arrived cold. We requested for them to be reheated, but even then the result was unsatisfactory. The staff appeared visibly disorganized and overwhelmed, struggling to manage basic service. Drinks took an unreasonable amount of time to arrive, and the food was brought out dish by dish at different times, leaving one member of our party to eat alone long after the others had already finished. Overall, the service was chaotic and the dining experience...
