Tanmen and Gyoza KIBARU - Shijo Shimmachi — Restaurant in Kyoto

15 minute wait at approx 9PM! Very busy with locals and tourists. Service was prompt and efficient. Japanese tanmen style noodles so the stir fried veggies and meat are added on top.

The spicy ramen was phenomenal! Good but now overpowering amount of spice. I added cheese cause I saw the table next to us order their noodles with cheese— great choice!! Adds creaminess to the broth and extra pull and stretch to the noodles. Their cheese gyozas were a great side! Good quality mozzarella used.

Would recommend this spot to try a different...

Absolutely a 10/10 place. Staff were so cute and nice. They even memorised my order which was Gyoza, a small bowl of rice with a raw egg and a cola bottle.

Just want to say to all the staff who were serving me, thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality. Coming to this place after a long day of exploring Kyoto was the perfect place to chill and end the day at.

I will definitely be coming back to this place when I visit Japan again and next time I will be bringing my friends from Australia there...

Come across this restaurant nearby our hotel. We ordered spicy ramen and Vegetables ramen for the kids also gyoza and karage as side dish.

The portion seems to be reasonable and everything taste fantastic!

The staff on duty seems to be "one man show" as he took order, cook and serve us all by himself. However rest assured there is very minimal waiting time. Plus point for tourist, he speak English! And, I give extra point to be so kind to prepare small bowls...
