Hi! Suggest you stop scrolling and read this! We just happened to walk by this wonderful place on the way to find our Ryokan accommodations. There was a small line so we dropped our bags off at our home and went back. The line was gone. If you want the best unagi (eel) you have ever had -come here! We watched Noriko lovingly prepare each item that went on the tray. The making of the intricate Japanese omelette was especially cool to watch! Noriko is so nice and we were able to easily communicate using a Translate app. What a wonderful experience after just arriving in Kyoto for five days. We would recommend sitting at the counter as you have an opportunity to watch the food being prepared.(Although you have to stand up or kneel on your chair to actually see everything).
