We had quite a mixed experience. Firstly, the good: the staff are wonderful - friendly and welcoming with quick service. The setting is also great; terraced seating by the riverside with a lovely skyline.
Sadly, the food didn't quite live up to the above. I'm an old fashioned type, so like my Bolognese with some actual sauce (the Bolognese part). Sadly, my Bolognese wasn't a Bolognese at all - it seemed to be minced beef with a few cherry tomatoes on top (no ragu sauce), while my partners Carbonara sauce had split. The pasta itself was well cooked.
We asked for white wine, and the waitress brought us three bottles to choose from and described each for us.
After the crushing disappointment of the Pasta Debacle, we ordered a Quattro Formaggi pizza to share. This had lots of cheese (great), but it wasn't fully melted and behaved a bit like a single organism (not so great).

The reason we picked this restaurant was due to its location. It is close to Nakanoshima Art Museum, and we want to check out illumination at nearby city hall.
But the food was better than what we expected, especially the pizza and yellowtail with yuzu tartar. The staff were friendly, attentive, and can speak basic English well.
We visited in late November, and there were heaters provided for the outdoor seat, so it was nice and warm. It was lovely to have alfresco dining. Indoor seat are also available.
The reservation can be made online...
