Masaru — Restaurant in Osaka

We were lucky enough to receive an intorduction here for reservations as this place is unassuming from the front and the staff have is extremely small. We were very lucky.

Our friend who called ahead for us had reserved Omakase for us and from almost the moment we sat down we were met with elegant, delicious pieces of fish that was delicious and beautiful. This was around $120 USD with one beer which was a phenomenal price.

The ambiance was quiet and serious and the other locals there were dressed very nice, i would suggest an upper scale attire.

One of the best sushi experiences you will find in Osaka, perhaps even in the world. Delicious and decidedly innovative, Masaru stands out from the already impeccably high standard in Osaka and will be the high point of any night out for both tourist and local alike. There was a time where it was reasonably easy to get a reservation but now perhaps not so much. Best of luck for anybody trying to get a seat, but rest assured you will...

They may not have the glamour a decor like all the shops in the tourist attractions, this place is going to capture your heart (and stomach) via its heavenly food.

Couldn't communicate well with the Itacho so we let him make the dinning options for us (omakase) and it was an absolutely stunning experience!
