We walked into Rokkakutei without a reservation, but the staff handled it perfectly! We sat down at our table, and were informed that there was no menu, but a set service. They also asked if anyone had allergies, which is super rare in Japan that I've seen, I carry a card on me in hiragana/katakana stating I'm allergic to shellfish. They started the meal with a mix of vegetables, then started into the skewers. We were REALLY surprised at 2 of the servings. Fugu as well as the chicken breast with caviar topping. Every skewer was served piping hot, and when they were set down, the end of the skewer was pointed in the direction of the dip it tastes best with.
Even though we travelled with a set budget for meals on this trip, we have no regrets with eating here!

And there's a big bowl of delicious salad....
