This place was very authentic. I'm glad I came across it.
It's seems to be run by a family and has a very relaxed and homely feel to the establishment.
Unlike many places in Japan however, the staff and customers love having conversation and making fun amongst each other. A little Japanese will go a long way here because of that.
However, the menu on the counter is also in English, and non Japanese speaking foreigners while I was there seemed to be enjoying themselves and chatting to the locals.

They have an English menu and a very nice grandma working there to take orders and help with cooking. There's a sushi set for around 500 yen or so, and it literally upgraded my sushi palette!!!
