Right in the heart of Ginza is this fancy little brew shop. I arrived on a drizzly day in late afternoon; and this was the perfect respite out of the rain and cold.
It was just me and the bartender for some time before another staff member rolled in followed by a steady stream of eager customers.
The ceiling has an interesting light setup and the atmosphere inside is cosy, with soft jazz playing in the background.
They have a pretty solid craft beer range here. My favourite was the coffee porter siesta, a great coffee-style dark beer but I also enjoyed their organic mango wheat ale, which has subtle sweetness and a pleasant mouthfeel.
For bites I had the soo-see-ji platter, with a few different types of sausages, sauerkraut and hot & wholegrain mustard dipping condiments. I also had the homemade style potato wedges. Both dishes were very tasty and a great accompaniment...

Read moreI enjoyed a flight of Akatsuki Brewery Tokyo Lab beers here. I especially loved the Akatsuki White Belgian-style beer, and the pumpkin porter was fun too! The bar is cosy and the service is friendly and attentive. You can tell they take great pride in their beers and want to share their story. The waiter gifted me some small paper coasters with lovely illustrations too. Looking forward to visiting...
