Group of English holiday-goers in Japan for the first time.

If I could give the atmosphere a 10, I would. Not only the staff, but the regulars are friendly beyond words.

The owner is kind, attentive and she has employed a funny and talented staff.

There are staff that speak English fluently. The bartender serving us was a great conversationalist and and worked as a medium to break language barriers between customers.

If we come back to Tokyo in the future, I'll be making the trip out to Asakusa again to visit Atarime.

Great place for tourists to come for a drink! We read a review about this place before we came that really sold me on coming here. The owner is very sweet and adorable and is very welcoming and is a great host. She didn’t speak much English but did her best to communicate with us. She made us dragon ball shots and gave us little snacks throughout the night. Some other tourists came in as well and we talked for hours.
