DO NOT GO HERE! This place is absolute garbage.
You ring a doorbell to the bar which has a locked door and the bartender opens the door. The sign in the photo attached to this post is on the door of the bar. We had a group of 4 people but 2 people were still downstairs and will take a few minutes to come - we told the bartender this when he opened the door and he said okay, let us in, and seated us. However, in the span of the 5 brief minutes we were sitting there, the bartender asked us multiple times where our friends were and rudely reminded us of their policy requiring everyone to be seated. We told him they're making their way up and is just taking a few minutes. This clearly made him upset and he told us to leave. He was also upset because I was looking at my phone (I was just checking why our friends weren’t up here yet) and when we did not order immediately. I would understand if the bar was packed. However, THE BAR WAS EMPTY THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE CUSTOMER there other than us while the surrounding bars were packed with people (a bit of a red flag as soon as we walked in). I would also understand if he strictly adhered to their policy and just doesn’t let us in in the first place but he rudely kicked us out within a few minutes of letting us in. I could perhaps even understand if our friends took more than 10 minutes to get there.
Silver lining to this experience is that we didn't actually get a chance to order anything before the bartender kicked us out and thus did not have to endure any more of his horrible attitude and overpriced drinks that apparently are not even very good based on some of the other reviews I’m now seeing. I would highly recommend reading the other negative reviews - you will see a trend. Do not waste your time and money here - there are plenty of other great bars in Ginza to go to. Going here is a sure way to...
Read moreI had a truly traumatic experience here. Upon arrival, I was asked how many people were in my group, and I replied four and explained others aren’t w me yet, they said everyone has to be here to be seated. Which I totally understand so I said it’s ok I will just drink alone first and figure out where to go w friends later. The host became aggressive, accusing me of lying because I just said four people. I clarified that I intended to drink alone, this conversation lasts 10 minutes for them to finally let me sit down. After I went in the bar is empty actually w only few other people.
As I sat down , i texted my friend, the host called me outside to read the house rules, stating “no texting.” I was escorted outside and read house rule on their door, the rules says no phone calls or playing video games, I said I’m only texting I didn’t make calls. Then When I explained I was alone, what else I can do besides using phone, he became belligerent, saying “ I don’t like you, leave.” He physically escorted me out, pressing the elevator door and pushing me out. His parting words were, “Yes, I’m crazy, don’t ever come back again, never come.”
This encounter was incredibly rude and has left me feeling unwelcome in Tokyo. Avoid this place if you value respectful service and don’t have your day get ruined! I’ve never seen anything like this tbh. Dont know how they got...
Read moreWowww I usually don't believe in leaving negative reviews because I generally think it's better to not comment unless it's positive but I just left this place still feeling shocked due to the owner (?) / bartender's attitude at the end.
He seemed annoyed that I had been on my phone and ordered just the one drink while I was there. He picked up my drink, shook it vigorously to check how much was left before he told me I'm "very bad" and then snapped at me to "either move to the side" (I had been seated in the middle of the bar) "or check out". I initially assumed he was kidding and tried laughing it off but then he actually told the other bartender (who in fact seemed very nice, in contrast) to print my bill - without me asking for it - and then passed it to me, thereby demanding me to pay immediately and leave. :O
For clarity, this was on a Wed night and there were empty seats i.e no one else waiting in line to come in or anything (I would have left asap if so).
I didn't read many reviews of this place before coming but I can now see too late from previous reviews that other people have also experienced this attitude! His blunt rudeness was totally un-Japanese and honestly the price of 3,300 yen for one drink is a joke - especially when even cocktails at the best bars in Singapore (which are actually worth the money) don't...
