Charcoal Grill & Sushi Restaurant Kushiro — Restaurant in Tokyo

Probably one of the most expensive meals I had in Tokyo, Kushiro くし路 is those typical sushi restaurants. I discovered something while travelling around Tokyo. If you have a meal in a mall, it’s either very pricey and for very good options, the price goes up even higher. I did enjoy my lunch at Kushiro. Had a private room with the sunken floor style and the set lunch do provide some value considering the place seems packed with suits likely from the nearby financial district. On the 6th floor, the view would have been amazing if you sat by the window. Japanese food in Japan already has a quality that I would not have the opportunity to enjoy back home and every meal has been amazing. Front of house tried so hard to deny us our 6:30 booking even though we arrived early. He said the prior table had not left yet. I booked the bar table and saw there were seats available and asked him why couldn’t we sit there and he told us it was for another party that also made a 6:30 booking, but had not arrived yet. This is the first time I have had horrible service in Tokyo. Not intentional I think, just inexperienced and untrained waiters. They didn’t take my order for drinks (tea) and did not bring the wet towel until I was half through my meal.
