[Pros] Group friendly. They have table sheet. Accepts Paypay and other payment options Operation is good.
[Cons] Customers have to call staff for condiments or water.
Visited here at 10:50 on Sunday. When I arrived in front of the shop, 3 people were already making line there.
I ordered morisoba, and It came with a bowl of soup and noodle. The meat was a thin and chewy, and the egg is hard-boiled. Also the menma tasted little similar to the ones that are affordable in supermakets.
But the morisoba itself didn't taste awful or anything. several things I noticed about the toppings might be jsut their style.
However, one thing that made me put the 4 stars instead of 5 was the water. This store doesn't let you to use pitcher or condiments unless you ask the staffs.. (and as the store is roomy, so you don't always find them)
At this visit, I could not fully understand why people are always making line here. I will try that on the another day as tsukemen seems to be a more...
Read moreReally wanted to try Matsudo Tomita after seeing videos about it on YouTube but didn't feel like going all the way out to Chiba, so I was glad to know there was another location right next to Tokyo Station in the KITTE building B1 level.
On my first visit, I accidentally ordered the mori soba instead of the tsukemen they are famous for. I did get the chashu prepared 4 ways which was excellent. The ramen was good too, but I still really wanted to try the tsukemen so I went back the next day and ordered the right thing with gyoza. Gotta say, it was the best tsukemen I've had. I really enjoyed the firm chewiness of the noodles and the rich umami of the broth which had notes of seafood and citrus without tasting too salty.
My wife agreed with me and we both prefer this tsukemen over Rokurinsha.
Gyoza was also tasty and large as each gyoza was the size of about 2-3...
Read moreI spent 1730 Yen for a bowl of Tsukemen with all toppings + 360 Yen for 2 pcs giant gyoza.
I was thrilled to try this tsukemen shop after watching the Ramen Heads documentary a few years ago. It’s a bit pricey compared to the other Tsukemen shops I’ve tried, but the quality is also different. I love the dipping broth, which reminded me of a tsukemen shop I ate in Takadanobaba. They almost tasted the same. The chasu were soft and flavorful, and the Ajitama were perfectly cooked! The noodles were good, though there was a bit of hardness when I chewed on them.
The giant Gyoza were okay. My only issue with them is that the meat inside doesn't match the size of the wrapper outside. I mean, the amount of meat is not so much. I'd rather have a medium-sized Gyoza with a good...
