I’ve been a part of the salsa community at this bar for several years, but recent events have left me deeply concerned about the safety and support provided here.
During my last visit, I experienced an incident where someone accidentally stepped on my foot upon entering. Despite expressing discomfort, I was blamed for the mishap, which was both confusing and uncomfortable. Even more distressing was the behavior of an individual, who not only insulted me multiple times but later confronted me and blocked my way when I attempted to leave. This behavior was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe in what should be a welcoming environment.
Despite seeking assistance from the staff and even approaching the owner, I felt brushed off and indifferent to my concerns. The lack of accountability and support from both the staff and management, including the owner, was disappointing.
Thankfully, the security guard was the only one who took my distress seriously. He took notes of the incident and offered to accompany me to collect my belongings, which I greatly appreciated.
However, it’s disheartening to see such behavior tolerated in a community I’ve been a part of for so long. I urge the establishment to take proactive steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all customers, including addressing incidents of harassment and providing adequate support when needed.
I hope that by sharing my experience, positive changes can be made to create a safer and more inclusive environment for everyone in the...

It was my first ever salsa class, and even though I didn't understand much of Japanese, teacher Yukiko was amazing! She demonstrated step by step so passionately and patiently, and made sure we all rotate the partners so we all dance together. There were many experienced students (many years of practice), and they helped beginners like me a lot. It became unforgettable night in my life.
