Today we visited Ginza Tenryu! This is a long-established Chinese restaurant that has been in Ginza for many years. I enjoyed the taste of a long-established Chinese restaurant that has been in Ginza for many years.

A word of review. A Chinese restaurant with a long-established style. The burgundy box lights give it a high-class Ginza feel and a good old-fashioned atmosphere.

Access from the station Five minutes walk from Ginza station. Access was excellent.

Seating The restaurant is spacious with mainly table seating, creating a relaxing atmosphere even for one person.

Interior The interior is typical of a Chinese restaurant, with a relaxed atmosphere. The burgundy lights create a luxurious atmosphere.

Dishes We had fried rice and dumplings, both of which were excellent. The baked dumplings in particular were large and very satisfying. I enjoyed the delicate flavor.

You should order this one! Menu Menu The baked gyoza is a must-try dish. The plate full of dumplings is very satisfying and exquisite.

Price The price for fried rice and gyoza is reasonable, about 3000 yen, which is a very...

Fair waiting time (30 minutes) during Saturday for lunch. Polite waiters. 8 Large gyozas for 1100 JPY, perfectly cooked skins with good texture. Food comes out quickly, because we only ordered 2 orders of gyozas (#1) and they're trying to have high turnover of customers. The first few dumplings I was in heaven because of their perfectly cooked wrappings, fresh off the pan, and juicy meat fillings that burst in my mouth. However, after 5 dumplings you start to feel the oil build up and then feel heavy by the final 8th gyoza. The waiters hardly come around to refill the small 4oz glass of water. My wife made a good point that their filling were not particularly delicious/tasty, just ground meat and veges, but the skin was intact and maintained the moisture/fats of the meat to explode in your mouth or drop into your soy sauce concoction. They accept major credit cards, so do yourself a favor and use Capital One for no international charges and best currency exchange rates. After leaving the establishment, it left me not wanting to eat gyozas for the remaining trip due to...

06/07/2025, 8:30pm. two unfriendly staff but great gyozas. when waiting for our table i stood up when the lady asked how many was in our party in Japanese. I misunderstood her request thinking she was going to take us to the table (I do not speak Japanese fluently) and was practically shouted at to sit back down. the unfriendly service continued whilst we ordered and when our food arrived the plate of sweet and sour pork was only about 2/3 full whilst other tables who ordered the same item had full plates. i used a translator to explain my issue to the same woman who seated us and she just said something in Japanese and walked off, i understand i am in Japan and i do not speak the language very well but i feel like some attempt should have been made to communicate with me. the lady taking the payments at the front of the restaurant was lovely and friendly and the...
