Something about me- I’ve never enjoyed the flavour of drinking milk on its own, I actually really disliked it. I only enjoyed the flavour in my cereal or coffee or ice cream. But never on its own. BUT I am one to challenge my own beliefs and previous judgements so I ordered a milk flight…
The owner is so knowledgeable here and cares so much about his business and customers! They offer so many milk products such as ice cream, lattes, yogurt, and the coolest, a milk flight where you get to choose 3 different Hokkaido farms and compare the milks. The milk farms you can choose from also rotate every month!
I collected the courage to take a sip of each from the flight and to my surprise, I loved it so so much! I continued to take multiple sips to further taste each milk and decide on a favorite and I’m so happy I did. They all tasted way better than any milk I’ve ever had and my perspective on drinking milk on its own has changed.
Not everyone travelling to Tokyo or Japan has time to stop in Hokkaido to try the milk there. I am elated this owner had the brilliant idea to open his shop here in Asakusa. I 12/10 recommend anyone go here to try Hokkaido milk when they visit Tokyo. The yogurt is also amazing, and I love the milk so much I ordered a latte as well- which was so delicious and you can really taste the milk shining through. Not to mention they also serve matcha and the place is SO CUTE and bright! So ecstatic...
Read moreHOKKAIDO MILK BAR Asakusa Milk Cafe is a delightful spot for anyone craving authentic Hokkaido dairy treats in Tokyo. I recently visited and enjoyed their ice cream along with a ball filled with Oreo cream, and both were absolutely delicious. The ice cream was incredibly creamy and rich, clearly made with high-quality Hokkaido milk, which gave it a fresh and natural taste that stood out from typical offerings. The Oreo cream ball was a fun and indulgent treat soft, fluffy, and generously filled with smooth Oreo cream that perfectly complemented the subtle sweetness of the dough. The café itself has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive. They can speak multiple languages, which makes the experience even more comfortable for international visitors. The menu is available in several languages, and there’s free Wi-Fi, making it a convenient stop whether you’re exploring Asakusa or just looking for a relaxing break. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the focus on using fresh, locally sourced Hokkaido dairy products really sets this place apart. I highly recommend HOKKAIDO MILK BAR to anyone looking for a unique and satisfying dessert...
