Located next to the Shinjuku Station, Komeraku is at level 8 of MyLord Shinjuku Department Store. Great place to satisfy your hunger after a long day of shopping. Servers speaks limited English and were very helpful try to understand your needs. English menu is available upon request. Fresh ingredients used to cook the dishes. Love the fatty salmon & roe supper yummy with the avocado mixed in the puffy rice. Finish up the dish with the dashi which warms your stomach. The grilled seafood with sea butter and soya sauce was a hit as well. Teriyaki fried chicken was crispy and nice. Average spend 1,500 yen per person. Good size portion for sharing between two small eaters. Family friendly and great for gatherings as well. Nice quiet ambience for a good meal. Toilet located outside the restaurant near the...
ย ย ย Read moreGood place to try ochazuke during your trip to Japan ๐ Located inside Lumine EST connected to Shinjuku station, on the 7th floor. There was a queue(chairs provided) at almost 3pm in the afternoon, but moves fast and didnโt have to wait long. They have raw fish and cooked options like chicken and vegetarian iirc so itโs great to go with someone who doesnโt appreciate raw options. They provided us with an English guide on how to have our Ochazuke meal properly. First to mix and eat as it is - can add free toppings provided at the table, tastes like a Japanese poke bowl. After eating more than halfway, to add the dashi provided and end it like a soupy rice meal. ๐ The taste of this meal might not be to everyoneโs liking, but itโs nice to try...

The food was pretty good and it came with a little side dish as well. The seafood was fresh and the tea dashi was good. I have had higher seafood quality elsewhere but this was very good for the cost. We also got a jasmine tea which was good as well. Overall, I...
