AVOID LIKE EXTREME DEADLY CANCER* This establishment deserves less than one star. My recent experience here was nothing short of appalling, marked by truly disgusting service and an undeniable undercurrent of blatant racism. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with utter contempt. We, a party of five, were inexplicably told to stand and wait in the street, an immediate sign of the disrespectful treatment to come. When we inquired about a table, we were curtly informed they were "full," despite the restaurant clearly not appearing at capacity. We then asked if we could return later, given their stated closing time of 11:00 PM, only to be met with a ludicrous excuse: we were told we couldn't make a later reservation because they couldn't predict if customers would stay for "more than 6 hours" until closing. This was a transparent and frankly insulting lie, delivered with a dismissive attitude that left no doubt about their true intentions. The manager and staff exhibited an astonishing level of disrespect, lying directly to our faces and treating us with blatant hostility. It became sickeningly clear that this deplorable treatment stemmed from a deep-seated racism towards Westerners and white people. We were, without a doubt, refused service due to our ethnicity. The entire encounter felt like being treated "like dogs," an experience no paying customer should ever endure. In summary, the people, the service, and the pervasive racist attitude made this an utterly disgusting and disgraceful experience. I would strongly advise anyone, especially Westerners, to avoid this establishment at all costs. It is a place where blatant discrimination is served...
Read morePhenomenal meal. We stumbled across this lovely little French bistro while looking for a late night eat. Our expectations were more than met! The service was beyond impressive and extremely friendly. Nami, the owner, told us her story about how was was inspired by French food while traveling. She has taken her own spin on things while remaining true to French food!
The food was so delicious. We had the fish of the day (which was sea bass) and it was wonderful and fresh. It was topped with amazing truffles! Our table also enjoyed the gratan dauphinois, omelette, duck thigh confit and steak frites. We had clean plates at the end, as we ate every single bite!
The wine list was also impressive. The dessert (profiteroles) were filled with vanilla ice cream and Nami topped it off with high quality chocolate!
Overall, I can’t say enough positive things about this bistro. While French food may not be on the top of your list while in Tokyo, I can assure you it will be one of your favorite meals while...
Read moreEasily my favourite restaurant now in Tokyo. It’s elevated comfort food in an unpretentious setting. There is so much attention to detail the chefs put in. From table settle; atmosphere, wine list, choice of produce. The mix of cuts and cuts of beef chosen for each dish that highlights both the flavour and texture. It felt like an absolute steal eating at this quaint restaurant. It’s the great local Japanese produce paired with the origin ingredients of France, each speaking of its own terroir. I would have ordered everything on the menu, albeit I was dining alone (they can accommodate half portions for certain dishes with some limitations, but they do their best). Lucky for me, they open till midnight on weekends and I tend to stay in the Ginza area a lot and always fuss about getting food at acceptable pricing in this area. Might not be doing myself a service by highly rating this gem, they truly earned this!
Thank you Sugawara-San! Amazing...
