This is my 2nd visit to Luke’s Lobster 🦞 but 1st time to this Shinjuku Southern Terrace outlet. I like this concept whereby eggslut, Boulange and Luke’s Lobster share the same location (building / shop) 🏢 and they can sit anywhere they want. I visited the outlet at Harajuku Cat 🐈Street but there were just no seating 🪑spaces.
Environment : Luke’s Lobster here 📍is located at level 2 🆙 of this 2️⃣ story building. They have their own link way, steps that lead you up, you do not need to enter 🚪from eggslut to enter the resturant but you could if you want. Seats about 20 pax, clean 🧼 and bright . However, I do find it rather narrow.
Staff : Lady 💁🏼♀️ that serves us is very friendly ☺️ and is polite 🫡 but her command of English 🏴 was fairly limited in explaining complex requests. But she was always accommodating and it was very welcoming. (More of my fault that I don’t speak Japanese 🇯🇵)
Food : Well what can I say? The primary Menu order would be the Lobster 🦞 Rolls 🥖. They come in S, M or L size. For size comparison, they have a mocked up display of a Small Size at the cashier. (See my pics) You could also order the half and half or lobster 🦞 + Shrimps 🍤 or better still order the Luke’s Trio where you could try the Lobster 🦞, Shrimp 🍤 and Crab 🦀 Roll. I ordered the Lobster Roll M Size and it was everything I can remember 🙇 it to be. Bun was nicely toasted, buttery and tasty. The lobster was stuffed fully into the bun just exploding beyond the lip of the bun. (Love it!)
However, the lobsters 🦞are served chilled❄️. They have a sign 🪧 up explaining why this is so. It’s different from Burger & Lobster or other similar restaurants where it is served hot ♨️. I also chose the set that came with a Bisque Soup 🥣and it was just the best combo ever! BOMBZzzzz! 💣💣💣 So Nice 🤭, so Tasty 😋 & so Satisfying 🤯! I must admit that it is pricey 💰💰 but it is so worth it! Epic!! 💯
If you are looking for a site that you will have the highest possibility of seating down to have a meal, this will be the location 📍 to try. It is also conveniently located across Shinjuku Train 🚇 Station...
Read moreVisited on the 2nd Jan for lunch. Was served by a young female waitress who looks like a high schooler. She didn’t bother to greet us at all let alone smile. When asked if they still have lobster roll she just used her finger and pointed at the 3 items on the menu and then turned her face away from us, without speaking a word at all. My husband said “thank you” in Japanese then we left. Still she didn’t respond. To put a poker face on to serve customer is one thing. To be completely mute all the way through and turning your face away is just utterly rude. Would give 0 star if I could.
Went to Shibuya’s Luke’s Lobster and the female waitress was so much more heart-warming, she smiled and we both managed with our limited English and Japanese to communicate to each other. Now that’s what...
Read moreLocated conveniently next to Shinjuku Station on the second floor of Shinjuku Southern Terrace, LUKE'S LOBSTER offers a prime spot for a relaxed meal. The outdoor seating is a highlight, providing a lovely view of LUMINE and Shinjuku Station. I visited in December, and the combination of crisp winter air, bright sunshine, and the cosy atmosphere made for a delightful dining experience.
The staff were exceptionally welcoming and fluent in English, which made ordering a breeze. I opted for the 8oz lobster roll paired with apple juice. The lobster itself was incredibly fresh and generously portioned, though I found the seasoning a bit underwhelming, leaving it slightly bland. On the other hand, the bun was perfectly toasted, with a satisfying crunch and lightness that complemented the...
