Miyakoshiya Coffee Ginza — Restaurant in Tokyo

If you come to this place you risk being treated very rudely by staff, and not being able to make your own menu choices.

My wife, 1.5 year old baby and I went in here to have breakfast. We were hoping to have a simple breakfast and some toast for our baby.

We ordered the food but the staff member who was extremely impolite said that we couldn’t have the food unless we ordered a drink as well (in addition to the food). I had already had a coffee but I figured I would have another one. Then the staff member said that 1 drink wasn’t enough. My wife doesn’t drink coffee and was happy with water. This was not acceptable to the staff member who said we could not have any of the items unless we ordered another drink.

We just went somewhere else where we were treated with respect and could order whatever we liked.

This staff member has no idea how a business works obviously as the place was empty, they did not get a single penny from us and now they get a negative review.

You should let people order whatever they need...

I give this cafe a 5/5 rating, highly recommend it for all coffee lovers.

Coming from Melbourne, we are famous for good coffee and I have very high standard for my coffee.

The atmosphere of this cafe reminded me of how things were like in the early 2000s, like travel back in time. With the coffee brewing away on the stove top, time seemed to have stopped and we are just here enjoying the lovely scent of coffee.

Coffees are a tad pricey here - upwards from 900yen for a basic blend, but it was very delicious. The blends were all really unique, and had a smooth taste to it without being too overpowering. Side of milk/cream that came with it was absolutely moorish!!!! Wish I’d ask what cream brand it was.

We order a cake and toast - was very good, unfortunately all very pricey. Was a quaint spot to rest and enjoy the coffee - a little dark, and thankful there wasn’t anyone smoking inside while we were there (we were there in...
