The food was amazing. My wife and 3 teenagers and i had the fries with anchovies sauce ×2, skirt steak×2, both pastas- 1 meat sauce & 1 urchin cream sauce, house salad, stewed pork, and the pork sandwiches ×3. All so good. The staff was a chef and a server. They were so kind and worked very fast. Presentation of each dish was beautiful. It was a small place that easily held 20 people. I was looking for a not-mass, not- chained Italian restaurant and was lucky to find this small restaurant. A little off busy area of Ueno, the shop is quiet and cozy. The female staff (perhaps owner) was sweet and friendly. We ordered 2 lunch sets of Sea urchin cream pasta and Galette of the day (Parma ham and mushroom) and both were exquis! The pasta was just al dente.

The salad in the set was OK, but the dressing was a bit too much. Lastly the dessert was freshly made and delicious. A very good ending with Earl Grey tea. Highly...

Fantastic restaurant with great tasting food and friendly service.

I recommend the sea urchin pasta, skirt steak, tempura seasonal vegetables and sangria (which was too easy to drink, we ordered a few).

The pasta was cooked just right aldente, the creamy sauce was not too heavy. I never had tempura corn before and it was surprisingly very tasty, I still don't know how the corn stayed together. The steak was cooked perfectly with an amazing char.
