Accidentally crossing this place when i visited sensoji. I came early before 10am and they're still closed. The banner was very tempting so i came back after 10 and there's already long line outside. Crowded and long q should mean something good inside
They have several seating, can accomodate about 15 visitor Besides beverages, they also sell souvenir (everything made from matcha)
A bit pricey, but i think it's still reasonable for a touristy place
I ordered matcha soft cream and several matcha candy for takeout
Matcha softcream was superb. It seems all their beverages was amazing. Balance of sweet, tasty and a pleasant bitterness of matcha Their softcream consists of matcha icecream, grassjelly pudding, rice puff, teddy bear shaped rice crackers. Not just a good presentation but also a vey good taste.
But unfornately, I'm not impressed with their matha candy and others souvenir. Their matcha covered peanut and matcha cochobar was under my expectation
But it's still worth another visit for their matcha beverages (all their beverages was...
Read moreGot some kakigori here and it wasn’t bad, the syrup was very good, but it felt a bit cheap in a plastic bowl for having costed ¥800. The ice cream would have been a better choice at ¥400. The free hojicha was a nice touch. But this place has limited seating so you have to wait around like a hawk on a busy day to grab a bench.
Edit: I brought my friends here for the matcha experience and we had a great time. It’s only about ¥2000 for the experience and you have to reserve in advance, but it’s a really great time for someone new to matcha and especially someone visiting Japan for the first time. The matcha itself was very good, and very high quality. They also gave us a discount for wearing kimono for some reason lol, that was nice of them. I was a little disappointed that the person on the phone told me they’d have English support and the person who helped us actually didn’t speak English. I interpreted for my friends and it wasn’t a problem, but I don’t know why they offered it if they didn’t have it. I’ll leave my...
Read moreWhile I had a decent experience at this matcha cafe, there were a few areas that could be improved.
Good matcha: The matcha at this cafe was decent, but not exceptional. While it was enjoyable, it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
Cute atmosphere: The cafe itself is cute and has a cozy vibe, which is a plus. Cons:
Limited selection: I was disappointed by the limited selection of drinks and desserts. I had hoped to see more unique and creative matcha offerings, but the menu felt a bit underwhelming.
Decent service speed: The service at this matcha cafe was quite good. It took about 7 minutez for my drink to be prepared. There are some bench tops for patrons to wait and consume their drinks.
Overall, while I didn't have a bad experience at this matcha cafe, I don't think I would go out of my way to visit again. It's an okay option if you're in the area and craving matcha, but there are likely better...
