K. Katsumoto is superb! He was so patient while we worked through a small language barrier and insisted on helping me even when I tried to let others go ahead of me in line when it started to grow (someone else hopped on the other register so that he could). Him and the other baristas were kind enough to offer to wash a new tumbler I bought to put a drink I ordered in it and when they found out we were leaving the country soon, they asked us questions about our stay and were just overall super great.

This is a smaller Starbuck's location with an odd layout. They were very busy on Christmas Day (Sunday) and sold out of most of the special holiday drinks. The drinks were well made and appropriately hot. Seating was mostly full but we were able to get a table by stalking guests who were leaving. Better than your average Starbucks - high ceilings, light and spacious. No outdoor seating, but there’s public seating (stone benches) in the square outside if you get takeaway. I tried the American crunch chocolate scone (or something like that) which they bill as a regional special - nice taste but too dry. Would only work for me with a large amount of whipped cream or vanilla...
