Good dinner experience with Kotobuki course
Last night, I had dinner with a group of friends at Ushi no Tatsujin Ginza. The restaurant kindly arranged a private room for us, giving us more space to enjoy a wonderful evening together.
We started with an appetizer featuring seafood and Wagyu yukhoe jelly with pickles. The finely diced, lightly marinated Wagyu, paired with shrimp and jelly, was easy to eat and delicately seasoned.
For the main part of the meal, all the meats were grilled by the staff. Each cut and thickness was cooked to the perfect doneness, enhancing the unique flavors and textures of the beef. Interestingly, the restaurant does not provide dipping sauces; instead, each person comes with a block of Himalayan salt, allowing diners to focus on the pure taste and quality of the meat.
Throughout the meal, we were also served a refreshing salad and pickled side dishes, prepared with simple seasonings to cleanse the palate and balance out the richness of the meat.
To conclude, we had a small bowl of Morioka cold noodles. A side of vinegar was provided for diners to adjust the flavor to their preference, making the dish light and refreshing.
For dessert, since I don’t consume dairy, the restaurant thoughtfully offered me a non-dairy dessert and hot tea, which I truly appreciated.
As it was a large gathering, we opted for the all-you-can-drink menu, which featured a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages—perfect for accommodating everyone’s preferences.
The restaurant specializes in Kagoshima Black Wagyu, which has won the Prime Minister’s Award at the National Wagyu Competition, often referred to as the “Wagyu Olympics.”
Located in the heart of Ginza, the restaurant is in a prime location and offers private dining rooms, making it an excellent choice for group gatherings.
Feel very appreciate to my friend for choosing this restaurant! It was a truly perfect dining experience, and I would love to...

Read moreThe Worst Dining Experience Ever: Mid-to-High-End Restaurant with Zero Service Quality!
This was by far the most disappointing and unacceptable dining experience I’ve ever had at a mid-to-high-end restaurant.
One of the dishes we ordered never arrived, and after a long wait, we brought it to the staff’s attention. Instead of helping, they firmly insisted the dish had been served, with a rude attitude and no willingness to investigate or resolve the issue.
It got even more absurd when we asked them to check the security footage. First, they claimed there were no cameras in the restaurant. Then they changed their story and said there were cameras, only to later say that they couldn’t access the footage. The entire process was full of contradictions, making it feel like they were just making excuses and trying to shift the blame—clearly showing no respect for their customers.
We asked to speak to the manager, only to be told, “The manager isn’t here,” and that there was no way to contact them. This kind of handling is completely inconsistent with the level of service expected from a restaurant in this price range.
The worst part? In the end, they didn’t investigate anything, didn’t resolve anything—they just slapped a so-called “correct” bill on our table and coldly told us: “This amount is accurate. You can pay and leave.” Not a single apology was offered. Their attitude was cold, dismissive, and arrogant.
This was the first time I’ve ever felt so disrespected in a mid-range restaurant. Mistakes can happen—but refusing to admit fault and doing absolutely nothing to make it right is truly...
