TLDR: Beat the queue by reaching at 1130am or 530pm or weird hours or else get ready to wait at least 30 to 45 minutes.. average should be 1 hour, and this place could be hot too. Apart from that, enjoy great and affordable sour spicy fish (酸辣鱼).. generous spicy chicken (辣子鸡).. pan fried potato slice (土豆丝).. the usual cabbage and fried egg too.. more details below:
Only 1 cook and sometimes she will need to settle bills with customers.. so the most obvious downside will be the waiting time.. so plan ahead by reaching early and what to order..
Parking could be a problem too but there's one expensive open car park nearby I think maybe rm10 per entry or even more??
Last downside would be the environment since it could be a bit hot especially at noon.. sometimes even at night still can feel the heat as the kitchen is nearby and everyone is ordering the fish with gas fire below.. LOL! but the shop has prepared quite a few fans.. so... ya..
After getting all the downsides out.. what the have left is good or event great!! really like their sour spicy fish.. the fish is not huge and comes with side dishes in the soup like tofu.. enoki.. tomato.. the soup is nice and appetizing.. not that spicy.. so today we actually tried to add ma add spicy.. still great!! will try their mala fish next time and maybe just adding spicy to the normal sour spicy fish would be sufficient..
Huge and generous portion of la zi chicken.. I think the flavor is just nice too.. enough ma.. spicy still at a normal level.. only one size and no small size so good luck..
The cabbage could be sold out at night since usually a lot of people order during lunch time.. it is quite good too.. for me maybe just the portion since it's veggie only and I like to eat veggie.. why so small while the la zi chicken is so huge..
next main one is the pan fried potato slice 土豆丝.. I really like this as usually this dish is served cold and sometimes too sour.. but for this shop they will pan fried it so it's served hot!!! omg so niceeee.........
ok probably last is the fried egg.. like fried egg?! NANI?! but yeah it's that good and I can taste the wok hei and hot fried egg in my mouth.. soooo good wth.. really appreciate hot fried egg..
ok last but not least.. their price and the cook's service.. it's affordable and probably cheapest I've eaten so far?? and the cook's service is great too.. she will try to accommodate your requests and communicate with you if needed..
definitely worth the...

We tried the signature hot and sour fish, chili chicken (辣子鸡), Sichuan 回锅肉, and stir-fried cabbage, all of which were decent.
The 辣子鸡 came in a huge portion, with more than half made up of dried chili pieces. This dish stood out as one of the best 辣子鸡 I’ve had, with the intense flavors of dried chili and Sichuan peppercorns infused into the fried chicken pieces. However, some chicken pieces still had small bones attached.
Do set your expectations, as this type of China cuisine tends to be a little oily. The place can also get very hot, especially in the afternoon. I heard the wait during peak dinner hours can be long, as there’s only one cook who also...
Read morethe signature pickled fish was above average. I opted for tilapia fish, just feel that the fish was not that fresh.
overall the broth is flavorful, lots of ingredients, tofu, ginger, tomatoes, cabbages, onions, pickled vege. Chilli & pork lards are the extra points on this dish.
I ordered another fried cabbage too. Good taste the only thing is too oily.
The uncle who took order was friendly, always checking on us if we are okay.
Arrived at 645 pm on Friday evening, waited about 30 mins...
