I found the restaurant by chance. I was walking around Nu Sentral looking for breakfast and saw a unique restaurant here that sells Chinese cuisine, Panmee. The boss is very friendly and advise me to give it a try because her food is unique. Of course I’d try. I ordered the panmee soup to test the soup base (which is also the skill in making good soup). It has the natural sweetness from anchovies unlikely many soup base out there that’s just salty. The ingredient in the noodle is generous. The fried anchovies are freshly made and crispy. The meat is chicken meat as I understand the shops here don’t serve pork. Maybe can consider bigger slices so that we can dipped into the unique sauce provided (normally other panmee shop use sambal belacan). One of the most important things to talk about is the noodle, I ordered the thin type (not sure what’s the right way to name it, it’s “pluck” method) as recommended by the boss. Its size is good enough to fit the spoon. Thin but not too thin until it breaks, just right thickness. I finished the soup in the end, I felt safe to drink all of it and it’s nice to make me want to finish it. Didn’t feel one bit of thirsty after drinking it. I order one side dish, it is freshly made and crispy. Boss told me I’d like it and she’s right. It really is nice. Very confident. Food taste: 9/10 (unique panmee) Food portion: 9/10 Service: 9.5/10 (how can it not be good when the boss actively engaging with the customers to find out how they feel and talking to them. Environment: 8/10 it’s comfortable enough, within the mall. Cleanliness: 9/10 it’s clean, nothing to comment. Price: Between RM15 to RM25 (if add sides and drinks), affordable and if I work nearby I’d come eat most of the time. Recommended to try and I’ll visit again when I got another chance.

See below for prior review. Been back about 3x now. Recently had their fish ball noodle soup (I had ordered spicy dry noodles right above it on the order paper, but they made the wrong item - I didn’t want to waste food so accepted it, they were apologetic). It’s pretty good, with a mushroom like flavor in the noodles. This is a good choice if you don’t want the spicy menu choices. The fish balls had nice firmness & tasted good, the soup was flavorful. I noticed the last few times I opted to pay more to “add noodles,” it didn’t seem I got much more like the first time I did that. Not sure if that’s just my bad memory of the first time adding extra noodles. Came back a week later for lunch and realized I can “add noodle” for a larger portion and it’s well worth it! You get about 50% more noodles for just a few ringgit! Had the coriander pan mee and the shrimp chili paste pan mee - both were delicious! I had to take one home beater two large size was too much eat at once :) Definitely get extra noodles if you’re hungry, but get regular menu size/price if you want to try different dishes/flavors so you can eat 2-3 bowls! Initial review - So good! 5* for friendly, fast service & delicious taste. The pan mee noodles (think thick linguini with more dense chewy texture) is so good, fresh! Had the salted fish & minced chicken pan mee, shrimp wontons & lightly sweet longan & white fungus drink - delicious & coming back to try other dishes (simple menu with 11 noodle dishes & 5 side dishes). Well worth the $, though slightly small portion size (15% more noodles would make this a 5* deal)! If you’re hungry, definitely order two noodle bowls!

Good homestyle noodle joints in shopping malls are hard to find these days. We are into the era of franchises - where everything is prepared from a central kitchen. Homey Recipes does have 4 outlets but it still retains the homemade feel (staff were sat round a table preparing the stuffed tofu; whether this is inappropriate in a mall diner is a separate manner!) I enjoyed the food. Tried the coriander pan mee (you have to be a coriander fanatic to order this) and the original pan mee. The soup was tasty, a bit light but I didn't get the thirsty MSG effect post-meal. Ordered 4 kinds of side dishes (you can combine half and half to sample more). The fried tofu and stuffed tofu were tasty. Fishballs had bite. However, I didn't care much for the prawn wantan although the prawn was fresh and crunchy. All in all, a great place to patronise for its noodles. I was there before lunchtime and it wasn't crowded yet. Service was good but I am not sure how it will be during peak hours. I shall return to try the dry pan mee the next time.

The main problem with this shop is the owner who adamantly does not listen to feedback. While we are giving feedback she will cut you short and say something and end the convo or walk off. Happened to me twice.

Went there a few times just after lockdown was eased. Yeah she has the table set with sanitizer, My sejahtera QR code and they scan temp and all. But, I kept noticing that some of the staff would just sweep the menu card across some tables to clean it after patrons are done. I dont know how is that called sanitizing. So I raised this to the owner (old lady with short hair) and while I was saying the issue itself she cut me short and said DONT WORRY DONT WORRY WE HAVE DETTOL AND WE SPRAY AND WIPE ALWAYS WAN DONT WORRY. And I'm here like, dude! I saw this happen few times and here you are not accepting or believing what I say. It felt like she just did not want to hear my feedback at all and instead already fixed it in her head that her shop is perfect.

Went there yesterday with my husband. Ordered the usual traditional pan mee and told them to only put fuchuk and minced chicken. When I tasted it, it clearlyyyyyyyy had anchovy taste in it. I called her and told her I am getting fish taste in the mee and she immediately cut my convo short and said DONT WORRY DONT WORRY WE PUT CHICKEN AND FUCHUK ONLY DONT WORRY DONT WORRY DONT WORRY and she just walked off while I was trying to explain to her. It really looked like she was sooooo afraid that I would ask them to prepare a replacement. And the old lady had the NERVE to come by my table again after a while and ask my husband NICE AHHH NICE AHHH and walk off while ignoring me.. I am like wow, trying to be sarcastic is it?!

And well I ended up rinsing each noodle in the soup to eat it.

To the old lady with short hair: You really need to learn how to handle feedback / complaints. Shutting up customers by babbling nonsense loudly is NOT the way! LISTEN TO CUSTOMERS and UNDERSTAND what are their concerns! If you do not have experience or expertise in handling feedback / complaints, best you pass the task to someone more experienced!

Also, you lost a...
