Maria's Signature Suria KLCC — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

TLDR: want a cheap steak in KLCC ?Yes. Is it a good steak ?no. Worth the money? Not really, pay more for the ambiance and service than the food.

You get what you pay for and less. The prices are reasonable imo with the decor looking very clean and modern. Ambiance is good, down to the cutlery was nice, props to service given by the waiting staff who do their best.

Now the food quality. MAINS Me and my wife had steak. She had a grainfed ribeye and I opeted for the flank steak both requested cooked medium.

My steak was a small flank steak but cooked to specification. The asparagus was cooked well, but there was just a little of stringed potatoes.

My wife's ribeye was over cooked. Above medium well and she returned it to the kitchen and got a replacement which was now. Rare - medium rare. She ate it anyway because they can't get it right.

It was disappointing being the "signature" steak cafe, they can't cook a ribeye properly. Low points on the steak- not worth your time if you want a good hearty steak. Hope they can have better QC, I don't mind my steak being already sliced that's how many steak places have it done. But those are thicker cuts compared to this which was most likely 200g.

The fish dishes my in-laws ate was o.k. The salmon was cooked well but lacked depth while the premier seabass was undercooked and I could still taste too much of the ocean.

The Cesar salad was okay and lacked some umph, the dressing was watery it just didn't come together. The mushroom soup had more water than cream or mushrooms in it. It was mediocre.

Drinks were great!

For the same cost I can have a very well cooked steak, larger steaks and quality meat at "GRUB by Ahong" . So for taste value, no. Ambiance value, Yes.

Maria's signature steak klcc is a new steakhouse in Suria KLCC, the flagship restaurant of the well-known Maria's SteakCafe brand. It offers quality meat served without the frills, in a classy yet cosy setting with a cocktail bar and a lovely view of the fountain and park. I visited the restaurant on a weekday evening and was impressed by the service and the food.

For the main course, I chose the Australian Aberdeen Angus grass fed tenderloin, cooked to medium rare. It was one of the best steaks I ever had, well seasoned and seared, with a juicy and tender texture. The steak came with a choice of sauce and two sides. I opted for the black pepper sauce, which was rich and spicy, and the garlic buttered vegetables and potato, which were fresh and flavourful. The portion was generous and satisfying.

The restaurant also offers other dishes such as burgers, pasta, lamb, chicken and fish, as well as desserts and coffee. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the location. The ambience is elegant and comfortable, with leather booths, dark oak and silver-grey marble fittings, and dim lighting. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the service is fast and efficient.

I would highly recommend Maria's signature steak klcc to anyone who loves a good steak, or who wants to enjoy a fine dining experience in Suria KLCC. Me and colleagues went there for lunch

Ordered a fried chicken pasta set lunch (You can choose chicken or beef *pasta)

Pasta Beef and chicken both tasted really good, the pasta were well cooked where it's not too soft and not too hard. Which makes it extremely nice and pleased texture in your mouth when you eating it with the sauce

Set lunch Soup Fresh and appetising, quite well made. It's different soup everyday I think

Fried chicken It was boneless chicken 🍗 which makes the eating much easier and enjoyable. The taste is ok not too salty, if you like flavourful fried chicken you might not like it

*It's reasonable they provide such plain fried chicken because the pasta is quite heavy flavor so it's just chaos if make the fried chicken flavorful too.

Portion is quite big even for other set lunch (I can feel really full after finish)

Set Lunch Dessert Well, it's not as what you and I will expect but yeah just some random raisin chocolate cake(I don't like it personally) ,it's from the set lunch wcyd

Conclusion Overall I think the main dish they made were professional,however drinks and dessert is not what they good at. If you crave for some flavor dishes can try this place out.
