If I could give 0 stars, I would give negative three. I came here for lunch on Thursday, 2nd January, and ordered the Ichi Cabin Chicken. Unfortunately, I was served with three pieces of raw chicken. The first two were still edible, I only ate the parts that weren’t raw, but the third piece was so undercooked that when I cut it open, it was clearly raw.
I told the waiter and asked for the chicken to be recooked. They did, but it was still undercooked. At that point, I was too upset to eat, so I only ate the skin, which was crispy, funnily enough.
At 3 PM, while at work, I started vomiting everything I had eaten, including the mashed potatoes. I vomited a few times at work and once more in the car on the way home. That night, I had to visit the clinic and was diagnosed with food poisoning.
I called the cafe to report the incident, and they told me they would reach out, but they never did. I’m very upset because this is the place my colleagues and I frequently visit. After this incident, I don’t think we will come here again. I regret not taking pictures of the food or at least keeping the receipt, but I was too unwell and shocked...
Read moreVisited this cafe 3 times during my visit to KL from 21/2 - 23/2.
I had the following:
Onde-onde cake is really delicious, the sponge is fluffy and the caramelized coconut and the cream are really well-balanced. It's sweet and good. Passion Velvet is also great with the right amount of moist and the cream cheese icing really complements the sponge.
Couldn't say the same for salted caramel cookies cake. The cake has a drier sponge. The icing was a bit too salty.
No comments for the full English breakfast. It's good.
Bangers and Mash overall wasn't executed well. Mash potatoes is replaceed with mash cauliflower which is bland for my palate. The sausages are chicken sausage. It also comes with pineapple which is good but doesn't complement the bland mash cauliflower.
The cafe is cosy and the staffs are friendly. There's more dining space at 2nd level but the air conditioning is not strong; making it stuffy.
Overall, I would return to try...
Read moreA new found gem of a cafe right in the centre of the city! An European/Scandinavian beautiful front entrance greets us with exquisite interior decor shows the careful and unique taste of the owner to make this local cafe stand out from rest along the street. Either you walk in early for brunch or come in after 2 pm when all lunch crowds have dispersed. Else, you have to try your luck to find a table! Highly recommend the salted caramel chocolate cake and burnt cheesecake (if you don't mind it a bit too sweet than average cheesecakes in town). One can see that you really get back what you pay for at the price spent there ;-) Taste of coffee is great for a piccolo latte and definitely better than the rest of the coffee chain stores in town. Coffee art needs a lot of improvement though. Overall, if you are looking for a sweet afternoon out with friends, this is a highly recommended place to go too. Just be prepared with the above average high sugar level in the coffee and dessert,...
