MyeongDong Topokki — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

On March 19, 2024, I visited Myeongdong Topokki in Mid Valley to enjoy their Daebak menu, which is available from 12pm to 2pm and can only be ordered through the app. However, by 12pm, the Daebak menu did not appear in the app despite waiting until 12:30pm. Despite several complaints and notifications to the branch manager, the app still did not function properly. Consequently, we had to order the value meal set for RM18.90 instead of the Daebak menu priced at RM13.90 at 12:31pm. Finally, at 12:37pm, the Daebak menu appeared in the app. This was disappointing, especially considering the advertising and promotion on social media. It is frustrating when the restaurant fails to meet its advertised requirements on time!!!!!

Secondly, the banchan (side dishes) that the store usually offers include three types of variety, but on that day, only two types were available: anchovies and kimchi. Additionally, when I requested a refill, the staff informed me that they could only provide kimchi because the anchovies were out of stock.

Thirdly, although we were the first customers to place our order through the app, we ended up being the last ones to receive our food. The app ordering process was slow, and it took considerable time for the staff to accept the order.

i went there to have a lunch and ordered some food with the app… topped up RM30 to order, after about 10 minutes of waiting me and my partner was impatience due to the time we had waited compare to other franchise was such a big difference… but since it was a weekend we werent rushing and continue waiting for our food. while waiting, we saw the workers were walking around and standing there not doing anything… from that moment we already suspicious about our order. suddenly the restaurant lost power and my partner lost patience and went to cancel the order because it was just too long (we waited half an hour), the worker was panicking since there was a decent amount of orders wasnt getting their food… we asked for a refund but the cashier and manager? didnt know what to do and had to call someone responsible. another 10 minutes standing waiting for the refund, they told us to write down our order number and our phone numbers so they could arrange the refund and till this day after almost two weeks, we still havent got the refund and had to keep reminding them of it, such a terrible experience at midvalley… -100/10 and please do...
