The Manhattan Fish Market @ Midvalley Megamall — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

1 star for complementary free mushroom soups and potato chips due to late serving. Otherwise, there could be no star given.

Waited for an hour, people came last already finished and left while I was still waiting for my food. It's alright, they apologized they missed out the docket, I accepted. However, they did not ask what we like to have as compensation, as I rather to have a discount on my bill than giving me what I do not want as they never ask, they just gave the complimentary dishes. We ordered the main dishes as we know we cannot eat much since they provided the mushroom soup, we barely took a few sips as it tasted normal, diluted. We wasted the complimentary foods.

The second is about the environment and worker's service, due to the busy weekend, it was crowded at first. After that it was alright, as it was already 3 pm, I went to it by 2 pm. They need to train the worker to be efficient in handling customer's requests and be observant. I did not complain at that time(the whole time except now reviewing it), I was just asking about my foods, that particular waiter went to check but ended up no update was given until I had to walk up to the counter.

Now they lost stars due to food taste, maybe it is my unfortunate that I shouldn't order the grilled, both my friend and I ordered grilled fishes. The fishes were soft and wet, it was just slightly tasted better with its spice. None of the foods was appealing to me. Probably I was setting up high expectations on its seafood as what it should be selling at its best.

Last but not least, as Manhattan fish market, such a big franchised restaurant, you guys do not use salt and pepper shaker? I requested salt and pepper, they did provide but in a cup. I have to dip my finger and splashed them on my foods.

This is the first time I tried Manhattan Fish Market foods, and it will be the last time. Lost...

I am a regular at your NU Sentral outlet. This time we decided to try your Mid Valley Outlet. It was nothing short of horror to celebrate new year dinner with family at this outlet.

We arrived at about 7.30-45 were seated and placed order in about 10 mins or so. The order was simplest you could think of - Fish-n-Chips and Grilled Dory. We waited for 45 minutes, asked the server to check in few times but to no avail. Eventually when we got our food, it was ICE COLD, the chips served were nearly burnt (you could taste the bitterness)

We were super hungry so had no choice but to eat what was thrown at us. Bear in mind the staff was mixing up orders. Twice we were offered food that was for someone else, it looked like a "mamak" restaurant.

Then someone from your staff thought it would be a good idea to give a complimentary ice cream to us. We actively avoid giving cold things to our son, but since it was served on the table and he saw it, we couldn't send it back either.

I paid the bill, complained to the supervisor (a lady I recall) and all she could say is I am sorry.

I am very disappointed with the overall experience. Never coming back to this outlet and MFM again.

EDIT : I gave this feedback on their website and Mr. Tan contacted me. He took note of my concern and apologized for what happened. Plus he offered us a meal as a token of appreciation - for raising the concerns to them. I'm glad that MFM management swung into action right after I posted...

The Food I’m a repeating customer, and Manhattan is always the place I go when I want to celebrate something because honestly, I can’t afford to eat here every day 😅. My favorite food has always been their SFC.

What makes Manhattan special in my heart is their Cajun Honey Mustard… can Manhattan please sell this sauce in the market? I’m begging you! 🙏 Please don’t go bankrupt, I’ve seen with my own eyes so many Manhattan outlets shutting down, and it breaks my heart. If you guys read this review, please don’t hesitate to eat here, help this branch stay alive! I need my SFC and Cajun Honey Mustard TT

The Staff Alhamdulillah, so far every staff at every manhattan branch has been very good. The latest time I ate here (Mid Valley branch), the girl staff was so nice; even though I always eat here, she still explained the menu and served me kindly.

I also noticed the manager (probably the man I saw), and I think he’s the reason why the team here is so good. The girl staff, though, is probably the best among all the outlets I’ve visited. I even asked the manager for her name but didn’t hear clearly, maybe Hannah or something?

Please, Manhattan, jangan bankrupt...
