More than 30 years ago, I used to frequent Hotel The Lodge for dinner with my office collegues, as our office, Hijjas Kasturi was at the Menara Promet next door. It was either Hilton or this one, and obviously The Lodge was more compatible with our pay grade..🤭🤭
So, today was kind of a walk down memory lane for me, eventhough this Poolside Foodcourt was not yet built back then. But the nostalgia is still there..🥺🥺
My wife had been here recently with her friends, and quickly ordered the Chinese Fried Rice lunch set. I went for the all too familiar Cantonese Koey Teow lunch set, which came together with dessert. I enjoyed my meal tremendously, and have to admit this will give the Ipoh styled Wantan Hor a tough competition any time!!😋😋😋
Daniel asked for the Har Gao Prawn Dumpling and the Crispy Salted Egg Fish Skin, which was so nice and delicious that all of us had a taste as...
Read moreMy go-to place whenever my Teow Chew porridge craving hits me (which is about once a month minimum)! Some may argue the prices here are a bit pricey but hey, i am not that industrious to whip up 6 types of dishes to eat with my porridge! Its simply just wholesome comfort food for my bff and me. One can also opt for the Red Tom Yam Noodles, the Beef Ginger Yee Mein or Chicken Chop. It is good. Or if you a fan toong, do have a go at the rice and dishes. I recommend the Deep Fried Fish, Black Pepper Beef, Butter Prawns and Chillied Crabs. Yums!

Read moreExcellent. Dined on dry salted egg chicken which was very tasty and a must try. We also had dry salted egg prawn , golden fried sotong , HK Kailan in garlic and red Tom yam seafood.
The HK Kailan in garlic was hard and not soft. Since it was our first time eating it, so maybe that was the way the dish was being cooked. We had a plate of plain rice each.
We drank iced longan , mango juice , hot Lipton tea , hot lemon 🍋 tea , honey sea coconut with shaved ice , warm water and iced water. The warm and cool water were free-of-charge.
The ambiance was perfect with a pool and fountain making the air cool and refreshing. The service was fast. You don't have to wait long for your food to arrive.
You can park your car at the hotel compound with RM3 being charged.
Not forgetting Penang Char Kway Teow which is my...
