Beer Bank KL
With its location at the back of a supermarket – go past the packing boxes and through the black drapes – Beer Bank might be considered a hidden bar. It would certainly make a sneaky little getaway; pretend you’re doing the grocery shopping but slip out the back for a cold one instead. Once inside the bar, the outside world feels miles away. Complete with communal tables, several TV’s broadcasting a range of sports, a beer pong court, and over 300 varieties of bottled craft beers, it’s easy to lose track of time at Beer Bank.
Beer Bank – One of the largest collections of craft beers in KL The concept behind Beer Bank is simple. It is a self-service bar that is lined with fridges containing all the different beers and prices organized according to the country of origin. You are free to take a beer one at a time from the fridge or to select a few at once. If you go with the latter option, grab an ice bucket and to keep your multiple purchases chilled.
The frequent complaint of “warm” beer in South East Asia will never be heard here, as, on top of the refrigerators and ice buckets, there’s also a glass fridge. As someone who spent her childhood tentatively opening the freezer (probably in search of ice cream) careful to make sure the chilling beer glasses did not fall out, I have to say the glass fridge was my favourite. Read moreI've been a loyal customer of Beer Bank for over a year, but their services have gone downhill recently. My last few orders have been a nightmare. Despite choosing and paying for delivery, I've repeatedly reminded them to check on my order because they didn't deliver. They claim their system isn't working—if that's the case, why not fix it?
Today was the final straw. I ordered via their website at 9 AM, chose delivery, and paid using my Visa card. Now, it's 8 PM, and still no delivery. When I contacted customer service, they asked me who I paid to. I provided proof of my order with payment status marked as successful, yet they kept asking for more verification and said they needed to check with accounts. It's been over 12 hours, and they can't verify a simple payment of RM 424!
This level of incompetence is unacceptable. If they can't sort out their system issues and improve customer service, they'll lose customers like me. Very...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with their choices of Hoppy ales! Despite their ambitious advertisement pitching that they carry the largest selection of craft beers, they really dont deliver. Especially compared to the awesome selection you might get in a bottle store in a place like Singapore or Bangkok! And more importantly the few beers I took home were all kind of spoilt and didnt even taste like they should. Probably they were not stored in the right conditions or take care of.. but at the exorbitant prices I paid for these cans, extremely disappointed!! Avoid this place adn check out other places if you want genuine craft beer that are not...
