Ever heard the expression ‘Don’t count your chickens before they’ve hatched’?. . . Well at this establishment, if ordering boneless tandoori, it’s wise to be prudent. On receiving my plate, it was clear it wasn’t a five juicy chunk portion. The hilarious clowns at this circus see fit to reduce your portion down in size by chopping the large chunks into more manageable bite-size morsels. The jape here is that they make a reduction of your portion by one of the chunks (in effect enforcing a 20% stealth tax upon you and your hard-earned) and they basically only give you four of the five chunks. It happened to me and I called them out and it was most evident and plain to see that I had flustered them (the cat was out of the bag so to speak). Whence returning with my now ‘full-plate’, ‘they’ (it had now turned into a team effort) then failed to bring the sliced onions and lime wedges (which are standard and essential to a tandoori set plate) and I had to politely ask if I was to receive my order in full 🙄. . . After all the theatre, there was one shining light to the saga and that was the tamarind sauce, this really was a very delicious aspect. Anyway the moral of the story if eating at Singh’s Big-Top, is most definitely count your chickens once they’ve...
Read moreI would like to share my most unfortunate encounter yesterday 18th January 2023 as a customer of a lower status, and by lower I meant by the way I was treated as unfortunately I am not born of a higher caste nor was I born of a much sought after blood of an Aryan race.
I came in during lunch time and was waiting to be served. While waiting for almost 10 mins, in came an expat with a few of his colleagues and of course he get served immediately while I have not only been ignored but was not even acknowledged for 10 mins. I was worried because I thought for a second maybe I have passed on and was having a out of body experience. (Thankfully I am alive).
And it dawned on me, perhaps maybe this very establishment is not for locals but people of the same caste or of higher status. I gathered whatever dignity that I have left and proceed to look for another establishment.
Thankfully I did found another place that not only made me feel welcome but also have treated me as a customer with respect plus point food was heavenly too. Which what I realized this establishment is lacking.
Moving forward I will be taking my business elsewhere and will further not recommend anyone to dine here at Singh...
Read moreOrdered Vegetable Samosa, Lacha Paratha, Methi Naan, Chicken Tikka, Palak Paneer & Masala Tea.
Veg Samosa: Nice, & will be nicer if rebake awhile so will be crispier.
Lacha Paratha: 1 time only for trying purpose. It will come wth complimentary dal (same if you ordered naan).
Methi Paratha: Nice, smell good since with Methi leaves.
Chicken Tikka: They use Chicken breast so do not expect it will be tender & juicy, but it's suitable for those pursuing healthier diet since chicken breast are lesser fat, also it will be served with a mint sauce, few pieces cucumbers & onions. 1 time only trying.
Palak Paneer: Taste good with the Methi Naan. I dip it with the Lacha Paratha & Chicken Tikka so they will not be so dry.
Masala Tea: Little sweet only which is good.
Boss is friendly. Staffs are ok.
Food service speed is faster than I expect, in 10-15 minutes I got all foods & drink I ordered. No long wait even only 1 person eating.
Overall, I will give 80/100.
May try second time for their other dishes like Rogan Josh lamb & Malai Kofta, &...
