Triple bed room is small compare other hotel. Room landline phone is malfunction. Better throw away. Anything u HV to get down to lobby requested from them and receptionist will showed unfriendly face to you .Room doors locks also malfunction , from main entrance to toilet door. Room sound proof very poor, very annoying not coz the location near mosque only but their guests didn't respect others. Management allowed them running up and down the corridors making noise and nuisance around 8am+-. Electric plugs also a funny points to published. They put the plugs just on your bed wall panel which just right behind your head n pillow. May I know how do you use it and how do u feel sleep with the plugs? Advertisement said they got free parking but no one managed the parking condition, very small and narrow space , simply let plp park near entrance exit ways n caused others Cust car blocked or cannot leaving the parking lot. The manager eavesdropped on our negative comments from behind and replied with a look of distain on our face that there was no parking space in this hotel and repeatedly two or three times! Tis is my first time carry along my kids to visit melaka, my friend used to be their regular customer before help me booked tis hotel. He also feedback to me the new management was something Terrible compared previous he stayed as cooperation guests.I'd been travelling so many small towns and stay many different budget hotels, this Hallmark Leisure Melaka performance really humiliating. Totally will not recommend to travellers especially you got transportation. There are still many budget hotels around Jonker Walk. No need consider this building! No rating comments coz not worth...
Read moreFirst impression when entering is very bad. The front office didn't welcome us when it came, it wasn't crazy respect but that was what made a good first impression. The front office also did not take the initiative to provide a bag tag when we left the items because it was not time to check in.
Another bad impression occurred when we returned to the hotel to check in at 4 pm. The different front office also acted unfriendly, he asked for 50RM (26RM for deposit and 24RM for tax). As a tourist who received an email from the manager stating we had to pay 2RM per room per night as a heritage city tax (we stayed 2 nights), so we asked 20RM for what. In an unpleasant tone, the front office explained for tax foreigners.
Entering the room, we felt a bad impression again. The walls are not neat enough and on the bed sheet there are several strands of hair (I'm sure it's not my hair because my hair is thick, long and curly) and blotches that give the impression of being very dirty. The air conditioner also did not seem to function properly, the room was very hot even though the room was not spacious.
This is not my first time to stay in a Hallmark hotel, I have stayed at Hallmark Johor Bahru, but there the service is very good and the rooms are very clean. Even though it's a 3-star, management should pay attention to the slightest thing for the convenience of the customer. Hopefully the future can be improved, but to stay again in the future I will not...
Read moreWe stayed 5 nights in a double room. The location is great and it is cheap - 2 good points of this hotel. The room was run down as was the whole hotel. It is in need of a reno. Paint peeling, bathroom door damaged and there were leaks in the bathroom from the hose near the toilet. The toilet/shower were all in one in our room so the water from the shower went over everything. The shower was hot though so that was good. The AC was cold which was also nice. The room was quite cramped and unfortunately it doesn't match the pictures on the internet. First 2 days there was no real breakfast supplied as I think there were very few guests so they didn't bother apart from asking if we would like eggs. I had fried eggs both mornings but they were cold when served. The last 3 days they had a proper breakfast as there were more guests. It consists of toast/watermelon, rice, baked beans one morning, noodles. Have to get there when breakfast starts as I got the impression they don't refill the trays once it is gone. It is close to a mosque as well so you get your early morning wake up call - not ideal if you are a light sleeper. Grab is only 8RM to Melaka Sentral - better than a taxi which is 30RM|Overall it is cheap and a great location so if you don't mind a less than flash accommodation option then it will do the job but I would not stay...
